Basic science is far too condensed. You will feel marginally more comfortable on the wards when you start pre-clinical years, but not worth it given that your step 1 score will likely be worse. The first class that had the new curriculum had a much lower average step 1 score than previous classes.
They are eliminating Honors/Pass in 3rd year classes, which sounds good in theory, but will make applying to competitive specialties that much harder.
The financial aid is not adequate for the cost of living and housing costs are continuing to rise--you basically have zero chance of getting student housing. They rig the lottery so that grad students get housing, but med students don't, because they know that people will still come here for med school even if they have to pay an arm and a leg for housing.
