Is the 2000 character limit right for the gap year and "Why Utah?" essays? Or did you just end up at 2000 characters with trial and error? I had seen a 250 character limit for Why Utah and 500 character for gap year somewhere, but I am not seeing a limit anymore.

I didn't see that anywhere.. i figured out it's a 2000 character limit. What a disorganized application portal...

Just wondering, how long did it take (for those of you that submitted) for the letters of recommendation to process? I submitted and paid on 8/13/19 but it still says processing.

Yeah I called them this morning too. She said that my payment still hasn't been processed because of the Utah holiday yesterday. I said I was calling because I was worried about submitting my secondary without the "letters of recommendation" box checked, but she said it was fine, and that I can submit, then just make sure it checks off within the next couple of days when they download them from AMCAS. Also was like the nicest administrative person I've ever talked to! I was a little bit worried about submitting without that box checked, but she said it was fine...

I know this has been talked about a lot, but I am still a little confused. I submitted my secondary 8 days ago and the letters of recommendation are still "processing". I had my letters sent and received by AMCAS in June. Should I email administration or just wait it out?

It is just a glitch. I called and as long as they have a received date it’s okay

I mean I would! Go for it. But because you asked...just so you know you are fighting for one of 15 spots. There are 30 OOS and 15 of them are reserved for people who went to a Utah high school.

For me, when I log into the portal, under Secondary Application it says "Submitted - Pending Review" but I also got the complete email weeks ago.

Mine said pending for a few weeks but recently changed to completed. I haven't heard anything from them yet though. I, too, would sell my soul for a II to this school.
