I am glad I am not the only one EDP person checking this. I have not heard anything. I am assuming they will wait until the last day. If you hear anything either way, let us all know.
I know people who got EDP acceptances yesterday, they've def sent some out already.

Do you know if they call everyone for EDP the same day? Or will they send more out Monday too?

Sorry, no idea--I am regular decision. I just saw some friends on Twitter who got EDP acceptances yesterday, that's all I know.

Does anybody know what the post-interview acceptance stats are here (how many people they interview, what percentage of interviewees are accepted, etc.)?

A power point from 2017 says the following:

4227 Applications
568 Interviews
173 Acceptances
125 Positions

30.5% acceptance rate.

MSAR states 45 came off the waitlist. 568 interviews vs 170 acceptances puts that figure at 29.9%

their complete email quotes "~500 interviews" this cycle. class size is 125

Can EDP acceptances post their stats? Or is anyone aware of the stats for EDP’s accepted in the past?

Trying to decide if I want to apply EDP next year or not... (skipped this cycle to re-take MCAT).

Does anyone know if Utah accept international students?

Yes, but according to MSAR international students are "Eligible for consideration only if they complete the required premedical course work and obtained a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States or Canada"

Thank you for replying to my post. I'm actually a Canadian applicant. I looked at the data posted on MSAR, and the number of international students who were matriculated last year was 0. That's why I wasn't sure if they actually consider applicants from Canada. It could also be that they consider Canadian applicants as OOS because under the map posted on MSAR, it showed that students are from Canada and US.

Do you guys think 4.0/517 would be enough for ed. I called and they treat is/os the same for ed. I’m a Canadian applying in two cycles. Or should I just apply rd? I don’t really care which school I get into.

I got the interview invite today, the earliest interview listed was Nov 4. I submitted Aug 10.

They specifically reserve 15 spots for “true OOS applicants”. Dr Chan said they would interview about 60 of them.

Thank you!! Was just curious if they’ve handed out a number of those yet or not since reported IIs on here have been IS or OOS with Utah education

Kinda made a fool out of myself in that video interview. I never realized how uncomfortable it would be to answer questions without seeing another person's expression, body language, cues, etc.
Pretty typical questions? How long was it?

The hardest part was quoting the Kreb’s Cycle. I’m not sure why they wanted the last 4 of my social and my mother’s maiden name either. Did anyone else have to reveal all of their tattoos and what was “the biggest secret you’ve never shared with anyone” that you guys used?

Yep, pretty rough. I just had my assessment day and every single MMI station was a different sized and abled person. The prompt outside each door was just, "Defeat the opponent inside."

Does anyone have insight into the amount of time after interviewing to admissions decision?

They were pretty cryptic in my interview, they said they would be giving decisions out on a rolling basis but refused to be more specific. 10/7 interview here hoping it's soon though lmao

I remember last year it really varied. Some people with early (September) interviews heard back mid-October, some not til mid-January, and some not even til that March 1-15 window.

Cursory glance of last year's thread seems to suggest that most of the people who reported acceptances heard back within ~2 months from their interview date though. So maybe that's helpful idk

You and I both interviewed the same day! You should remember me. I was by far the best looking person there.

Uhhh what? No. Pretty sure no one gets the call until January...? I thought they sent out a few acceptances in January and the vast majority in March.

I mean... I can see you’re very confident, but if you just go look at last year’s forum, it looks like Dr Chan called someone on October 18. Also, Dr Chan confirmed that during the interview. Some acceptances will be given out this month. Nevertheless, most people will be notified later.

You are correct. They obviously send out acceptances for EDP applicants before the end of the year but they also send out acceptances sparsely before the new year. I love the admissions office but the majority of acceptances in March claim is a bit a of a misnomer.

Totally agree with this. In fact, I would say that few acceptances occur in March. I feel like there’s quite a few in November and December and then it really seems to pick up in January. February seemed to be pretty dead last year. March was definitely not the month of high acceptances. Imo.

Oh I was definitely talking about regular decision- but I’m happy to be wrong...I guess? I don’t know!

Early decision applicants are notified by October 1. Those were regular decision applicants that Dr. Chan called in October.

I just asked my friend who's an MS1 here and he said the U is notoriously slow about letting you know. He interviewed in early October and got the call the last week of December. He also said they send out probably 2/3 of their acceptances in March.

Got a call from Dr. Chan this morning. I'm in! Regular decision, interviewed 09/13. He was very complimentary and spoke about the aspects of my application/interview day that really stood out to the admissions committee. Very grateful for the call.
