Does anyone have any idea when the January interview (1/13) cohort will hear back in Feb?

not a waitlist or deferrment. just needs more time. I just confirmed today with admissions.
Hey do you think you could post a screenshot of the email or maybe dm it if you don’t feel comfortable

For people who haven't heard back since being complete, this is what the admissions office said about the interview season when I emailed them yesterday. Hope this helps ease the confusion

"Thank you for your email. Interview invitations are on rolling basis and last interviews are schedule to end 2nd week of February. If you have any updates, you may upload them to the application portal."

oh no so sounds like there might not be many II's left to be sent out? Really holding on hope for one

Does anyone know if sinai does merit aid (not based on financial need) or do they only offer loans? Also, anyone know about how people match financial packages (ie can you go to sinai and say another school gave you a scholarship, would they match it if it's not need based?)

Sinai has a new Enhanced scholarship initiative (need based) that helps students to not graduate with more than 75k in loans.

I’m not sure if they offer much with regards to merit based aid.

Are they peculiar in what they want in their update letters? My research has progressed a lot but I know some schools don’t want anything unless it’s a major update

Looks like you may have mentioned this same research in your primary or secondary. If so only an accepted abstract, accepted manuscript or published manuscript might make an impact. You can still send it though, you have nothing to lose!

me asking questions about IIs knowing my chances of one from Sinai are minimal at this point...

i imagine tomorrow or this weekend being the last possible days IIs would be sent out with a pre-II R wave on Monday, assuming it's similar to last year's timeline.

if my abstract was accepted, should i actually attach the abstract and send it as an update? or would mentioning that my abstract was accepted at ___ suffice? just wondering because the document upload guideline is a bit confusing to me. thank you in advance!

i don’t think u need to copy it, just say it was accepted by X journal

I would attach it. Its an abstract not the whole paper so its not too much to read.

What I’ve done for papers, etc is in life brief paragraph of what it is, what I did, and add abstract at bottom.

I don’t think they have time to read your abstract. Mentioning the name of the conference/journal and a short overview of what the abstract is about may work.

If I sent in an update letter through the portal, should I email admissions to give them a heads up, or are they good about seeing and reading everything sent in?
