So anyone know when acceptances will be sent? I interviewed a while back here (October) and remembered they said hopefully by February.

someone on this thread said that during their interview they mentioned people hearing back in March

Did anyone send letters of interest/intent? I don’t remember what their guidance was about those

During my interview they said they welcome update letters, and they should be uploaded to the portal. Not sure about letters of intent.

The way my stomach dropped after reading that email... why would they interview over 500 applicants for 24 spots?!
The turnover rate is insane. You wouldn't believe how many students will decline their acceptance. They also like to have their pick too haha.

Just to clarify, no one has received an acceptance yet, right? They just wanted to tell us that they are done interviewing?

Looks like it! In years past they sent out a few acceptances earlier in the cycle but this year they are waiting to send out all decisions until mid March

That admissions update email got me feeling like I was getting a rejection. I was terrified of reading the email haha. Looks like we all have a 5% of getting in😳

oh **** i didn't remember their stance on letter of intents and sent one :/ 24 spots from 500 interviews is insane

has anyone changed their mind through the program and not done one of the 4 residencies offered?

They make it pretty difficult to do and you lose your guaranteed residency position, but you can do it. As for losing your guaranteed residency, I think this is only due to the fact that they offer an exact # of spots for each residency, so they can't guarantee a spot will be open in the residency you change to. However, if you find someone else that wants to "switch" with you or someone in your desired specialty decides to do their residency elsewhere, I assume the school would have no problem giving you priority.

Oh so you don't even get a chance to go through ERAS and apply to other residencies?

Hopefully it’s this week! This is the last place I hear back from.....ready to commit to my state school haha
I remember they said during my interview last month that it’d be the week of March 15. So... next week?

What AAMC rules might you be referencing?
I'm not the person you're asking but... I think they're referring to this:

"4. By March 15 of the matriculation year, issue a number of acceptance offers at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and report those acceptance actions to AMCAS."

I wanna hold out hope but this is like sub 5% after interviews lol. Anyone from the south here?
