2020-2021 Stanford

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This is the body of the email for those curious...so cryptic! "Hello from Stanford Medicine. It was a pleasure having you interview with us sometime back.

We would like to invite you to a zoom session to provide important new curricular information and update you on your status. This session is expected to be brief and does not require preparation on your part or special attire" etc.

would they do 2 separate zooms for A and WL??? is your guys' zoom at 1p?
idk why they have to do this omg anxiety is sky high

If we did't get an email we're probably rejected?
Does Stanford give out Rs post II? I heard that they mostly do WL/A. I would guess all the zoom invites are one way or the other (either WL or A), not a mixture of both. I could be totally wrong though, just my two cents - I didn't get an email so I'm trying to cling onto hope lol

Were you all cced or bcced? If it’s the former, can you share how many people this email went to?

It was bcc'ed, so no indication of how many this went out to. Pretty sure it was sent through the application portal -- I logged into there and it's now under the communications tab.

Here is what I saw from Case Western, page 9 on 2020-2021 SDN.

"Yeah I got invited to a Zoom call this morning (and I attended), but the dean told us we were all waitlisted. Got the waitlist email soon after. Maybe a high-priority waitlist?? Who knows.

But DEFINITELY attend if you get that invitation; they took attendance and I'm assuming it helps to be present (shows interest, which sometimes matters if you get WL)"

-- not sure what this means, YMMW.

Yes mine’s at 1 pm!

It was sent individually with our names

Is this MD or MD/PhD applicants receiving the invite? Anyone who interviewed in December receive the email?

It's most likely an A call. But last year, didn't calls go out throughout several days? I think it's possible that they'll still send more Zoom links
I'm thinking this too. The weird thing to me is, why not just call students beforehand and then send a link for a curriculum presentation? It would take so much stress off of all of us. Not to belittle the hard work the adcoms do, but man...my nerves are shot right now lol

Didn’t they say on interview day that they’ll be notifying applicants of acceptances by phone?

Did they zoom A’s or WL’s first?
