when did you interview? What is acceptance range
when did you interview? What is acceptance range
How long have you been on hold? People do get off of it, but I’m not sure if it has any correlation to how long they’ve been on hold.Do any of you think there is a chance I get off of hold? Has anyone gotten an II after being on hold?
When did you submit the letter? How long after being on holdi got put on hold back in september and after sending a letter of interest got an ii the next day last week!
I interviewed on Nov 11th but haven't heard back from the school...Interviewed in Nov.
Waitlisted.
kinda shocked tbh because i thought it went REALLY well.
sigh
it's where you state your continued interest in the school. Also possibly any updates.I interviewed on Nov 11th but haven't heard back from the school...
Also, what's a letter of interest? A reminder letter?
Thanks!
So could we just send an email with subject heading "Letter of interest" or do we have to attach a word document saying we are still interested?it's where you state your continued interest in the school. Also possibly any updates.

thanks so much for clarifying!Upload a pdf to the portal
From what I understand, AR = waitlist, however they don't want to say WL bc they pull people off in a non-ranked manner which means they go back to review the AR pool and choose whoever they feel like would fill the spot best, not from a ranked list. I think that there is an equal amount of movement from AR comparing to any other WL from other schools bc you have to consider people will turn down offer when they receive A from other schools and even people who are AR'ed might also turn down the A when they do get pulled from the pool. I I think the movement of AR depends on how active the class is in accepting/receiving other schools' offers, so it's hard to say.So whats the deal with AR? I'm getting mixed information.
Their email says that most people get AR. but people on forums saying its essentially a rejection and some people saying in other places that it happens to alot?
any clarification would be helpful!
thanks
I wish I did more not to be nervous because it was pretty laid back and informal. It was the easiest interview I’ve gotten. Have a few snacks ready because it can be a long day.Any advice on preparing for an interview here, besides practicing standard med school interview questions? Thanks in advance!
Same as above. Most of the interview day was more of a conversation and less Q&A style grilling. Maybe review the questions just for good practice but otherwise relax. Second the long day as well. Get comfortable first because hours on a barstool seat was not the way to go.Any advice on preparing for an interview here, besides practicing standard med school interview questions? Thanks in advance!
I just got put under review a few days agoare people still getting Under Review emails?
Upload to the portalWhere do I send the letter of interest/update letter? Should I upload it to the portal or email it to them?
What date was your interview? Best of luck!!!Interviewed in Nov.

I feel like late feb early march at this rateWhen should 12/10 interviewers reasonably expect to hear back?
Maybe they completed their review but then decided not to accept? They didn’t necessarily say they would give you an answer within six weeks.High key some false advertising on Tulane's part.
From the Interview day packet:
"In summary, your application should go before the Committee within two to three weeks from the day of your interview. It will take the Committee four to six weeks to complete the review of your file."
We got people waiting 4 months to hear back...
The person who waited 4 months said they got accepted 4 months after their interview. You can scroll through this thread to look for who it was exactly.Maybe they completed their review but then decided not to accept? They didn’t necessarily say they would give you an answer within six weeks.
They were probably deferred following the admission committee review process then. I think they most likely reviewed the file a second time and this time decided to accept. The person who waited 4 months said they got accepted 4 months after their interview. That's not how they work though? Everybody who got the waitlist email hasn't heard back one way or the other. Tulane only does Accept/Waitlist, no deferralsThey were probably deferred following the admission committee review process then. True but I think that a lot of schools probably defer post interview without letting the applicants know (ex. If it’s not clear whether to accept or WL after initial review, app might go into a pile for rereview)That's not how they work though? Counterpoint to this - there was someone who waited 13 or 14 weeks post interview and was AR'dI think that waiting at this school is actually a good thing. I was under review for considerably longer than many others who were held/rejected before getting II. Then I had fairly normal wait between interview and decision and got AR whereas people who waited longer got A
So on their website it says they stop sending out interviews at the end of February and they send out notices to people who don’t receive an interview in March. But I’m not sure if this information is accurate for this cycle due to COVID and with interviews being virtualSooo how late does this school Interview. I just barely got an e-mail yesterday saying that my app was “complete and under review” lol I don’t wanna get my hopes up but anyone know if they’re still sending II???
So they technically are still sending out invites which means they interview into March? So on their website it says they stop sending out interviews at the end of February and they send out notices to people who don’t receive an interview in March. I just got the same email today lol, I'm wondering the same. Staying hopeful for II invite 🙏Sooo how late does this school Interview. They have been going slower than usual. In past cycles, they’ve booked out to January in early September. If anything they will probably go until at least as long as usual if not longerSo on their website it says they stop sending out interviews at the end of February and they send out notices to people who don’t receive an interview in March. Yeah that’s how I took that. That they stop sending out interviews in Feb but those interview dates could be in March and April. So they technically are still sending out invites which means they interview into March?
From what I’ve hears, people tend to send letters of interest after their interview. Their website says it takes 3-5 weeks to get a notice about their decision after your interview (seems slower this cycle) but I feel like if it’s been beyond 5 weeks since your interview then it would be appropriate to send them a letter interest. I would definitely send them an update letter tho, even if you don’t send a letter of interest. Just my thoughtsI interviewed in December do you guys think I should send a letter of interest+update before decision? I really liked their interview so I want to throw it in there too.
Yes to sending an update! Just my thoughts!Hey guys, I had a general question: I had an interview in mid-November and I think I'll be hearing back very soon. I submitted a letter of intent about a month-ish ago and I was wondering if it was smart to submit an update too (even tho I already gave in a letter of intent with a few updates) to show that I'm still interested and to "keep in touch". I'm sure I can try to find a meaningful update to send in. Any thoughts?
No news seems like good news considering# of people getting AR2nd week now that they've done 11/12 over 11/11 people. Just leaving us out to dry 🙁
I believe they said you either could be accepted until august (lol a few schools start before then) at which point all who haven’t been accepted are rejected.Acceptance range is like waitlist right? Meaning you don’t know when they’re gonna contact you again about a final decision??
Was the email for those on hold or for those who are still under review? I haven't heard anything since going under review ~5 months agoI just got the same email today lol, I'm wondering the same. Staying hopeful for II invite 🙏
