Do you all think we have to stay on zoom for the entire duration (8:30AM-2:30PM) of the program this Friday? I may have to log off for work.
Nah, because I'm sure there's breaks.

I wfh and have a separate work laptop, so I'll probably just have it up on my personal laptop as I work.

also, anyone applying to the NHSC scholarship? If I go here there’s no way I can pay loans I took out from undergrad + my masters and half a mil from this school on a pediatricians salary.

I plan on applying for the VA HPSP
I looked on the HPSP website but wasnt sure...after graduating med school, how many years of military residency do we need to complete? And after residency, how long do we need to serve in the military?

Should we apply before getting admissions to med school?

You don't serve the military in the VA HPSP. You'll need to check that under the Army, Navy or Air Force HPSP. The one i mentioned is different

If interested in HPSP I'd start the process now.

VA HPSP scholarship does not require service in military. It requires you to work at the VA as a civilian doctor for 1.5 years per year, not a military doctor.

The Army, Air Force and Navy HPSPs require service in the military. I don't know their specific military obligation

Anyone else nervous about acceptances in march? trying to remain as positive as possible & not sure if this school will give out straight Rs or a bunch of Waitlists
I just want an A😭😭😭😭

Their student selection policy on their website says they will give out A, those rejected will get the R, and the others will be waitlisted and pulled off as seats become available based on their rank.

same I want an A but idk the tuition and private loans....

Gotta remember there are people here who already got acceptances elsewhere (not me lol) so there's a good chance they'll go elsewhere because of the COA alone
Definitely. It would not be a good idea to attend this school if you got another acceptance at an established program with a lower tuition. An established program will also give you a better chance at more competitive residency programs.

My thoughts exactly

I'm just browsing but comparing my stats, clinical experience, and URM status I probably have a chance at an interview this 23-24 cycle....

cGPA: 3.42
sGPA: 3.48
MCAT 50Xish (Projected from practice exams)
URM ICU nurse

Thank you Lord I was not going to be taking another Calc course.
