II on 8/9, have yet to receive my interview day. The last to receive their date was 8/8, I think.
I submitted my primary on 7/27 and was just downloaded two days ago (9/20).Is it normal for me not to be downloaded yet if I submitted primary 8/5?
Thank you so much!I submitted my primary on 7/27 and was just downloaded two days ago (9/20).
Have any UMP applicants got a date yet? I uploaded everything about 2 weeks ago but my letters and prerequisite have not been checked off yet and I am getting kinda anxious the whole portal thing may not lead to an interview 🙁
Thanks!! It gives me hope. What's your complete date? Also, what time in Nov. is available for you?I received my interview invite date for November! So it appears they are starting to schedule!

anyone who still hasn’t received a secondary? Approx. how long between submitting your primary and receiving a secondary?
IU doesn’t use secondary. You’ll get a portal when you get invited for an interview
Oh 100%, I think my heart actually stopped for a secondAnyone else just get an email from inmedapp to complete a survey and have a heart attack thinking the decision was out??
I actually screamed and then felt a quick wave of extreme disappointment...Anyone else just get an email from inmedapp to complete a survey and have a heart attack thinking the decision was out??
And not just any decision - a rejection. Because acceptance is communicated through the phone call. So every time I see inmedapp in title, I think I'm rejected.Anyone else just get an email from inmedapp to complete a survey and have a heart attack thinking the decision was out??
I heard that last year acceptances were sent out via email!!And not just any decision - a rejection. Because acceptance is communicated through the phone call. So every time I see inmedapp in title, I think I'm rejected.
All of my friends who are currently going to IU med (and it's quite a crowd, I went to IU for undergrad), were notified through a phone call. But good to know that email is also an option, it spares me at least some component of the heart attack lol!I heard that last year acceptances were sent out via email!!
I only got an email that my application is received and will let me know my decision once they review it. More like an application under review email.
I wouldn't. They will let you know when you are under review.
same, I got mine 8/26, are your prereqs still not checkmarked? Mine aren't and neither are my letters even though both are in, but I'm assuming they won't be until the date is setII 08/22 still no date. Is anyone else in the same boat?
I received my interview date a few weeks ago, and my LOR’s were just checked off yesterday. It just takes a while for them to update it in their system, so you most likely will get your interview date before everything is completed on their endsame, I got mine 8/26, are your prereqs still not checkmarked? Both. I got an email with the date and time, and it was reflected in the portal at the same time. And yeah, I was checking the portal constantly to see when everything turned green! 🤣 You’re welcome and good luck!Well still red marks for me. When they schedule you a date would you get email notification or just a portal update? Just wanna know so I can stop refreshing my portal every hour lol thank you!
I interviewed 8/31- here are some things that really helped me.has anyone whose interviewed have any feedback/ advice? I have 2 interviewers according to my portal
Thank you so much! I appreciate this so much!I interviewed 8/31- here are some things that really helped me.
1. If there are mock interviews offered by your undergrad university, definitely use those. I did multiple mock interviews and it really helped me.
2. This is probably a given, but do additional practice using the IUSM's SDN page. Write out your answers for the key questions, esp the "why medicine" and "tell me about yourself" questions.
3. Turn on HD video quality for Zoom. It's a little thing, but by default Zoom uses non-HD video. So if you have good internet, it might be good to do that.
4. Do your research on the school. IMO, this is the best way to show interest in a school. Figure out how much NIH funding they've received. Learn their curriculum- esp how they incorporate the 6 ACGME core competencies into student learning.
5. Read a few papers written by your faculty interviewers. At the end of my interview, when I was asked if I had any further questions, I incorporated both of my interviewers' research into my questions. They seemed to appreciate that.
6. And lastly, be authentic. Smile frequently and don't sound like you've memorize your answers.
II 08/22 still no date. Is anyone else in the same boat?
ah ok...I guess I should have read the thread before panicking. lol. I guess I was panicking for no reason. Other schools that gave me interviews had me schedule the date in less than a week. So I was worried that it had been almost 3 weeks and I had not heard back from them. Checked the portal and prereqs was still marked red, same as letters of rec...even though they should be green.Does anyone know how long it takes to schedule the interview? I got invited to interview and I had to fill out some paperwork and pay the fee to the graduate school. I submitted it awhile ago, like maybe 3 weeks ago, and still have not heard back from them on when to schedule the interview.
Not sure, but hopefully sooner rather than later!! I think last year they found out on the 28th? According to last year’s SDN threadAny ED applicants have a gut intuition as to when they will release our decisions this week?

I received the physical letter 2 days before any sort of email or portal update. For those ED applicants who were accepted, did you receive a letter in the mail? Or should RD applicants expect a phone call

Never received an actual phone call or acceptance email.
For the interview confirmation form, how did you guys send it? I sent it using my email directly but haven't received any confirmation. Did you guys email it directly, email it through the portal, or upload it to the portal? Want to make sure I don't mess this up lol
