I'm a little confused about what they mean by this. Does this mean that the first station is 14 minutes, and the other six stations are 7 minutes, or that in each station, the first question you will be asked is a traditional-style interview question. Could anyone who has interviewed already please clarify, thank you so much!

The former!

Hey I was curious about the post ii A rate and saw on Reddit it was ~40% and around 45-50% on sdn.
Does anyone have any info on that? Also, I’m assuming the post ii A rate is higher for IS applicants. Idk if that’s correct tho.

Anyone have any advice for preparing for the interview? I’ve already looked through previous threads and done general MMI prep! Thank you so much in advance!

Per this tracking sheet IS A is 46% and OOS A is 60%

when is the PTE deadline for VCU? Also has anyone received a financial aid package yet?

Anybody else nervous af about Wednesday? What’s the likelihood of getting in if we interviewed in December? It seems like a lot of people on here who fit in dec 16 interviewed back in like October and stuff.

When i interviewed in 1/11, they said about half the acceptances had gone out. That doesn’t sound that bleak to me for december and january interviewees. Just my two cents

Got the following email today: what does it mean?

The VCU School of Medicine Admissions Committee has met to discuss your candidacy and your application is being placed on hold, pending a potential future offer of admission.

We anticipate making acceptance offers on October 17, December 16, February 1, and March 15. Your profile will remain on hold until such time that you receive an offer of admission (on one of the above dates) or you are invited to be on the alternate list, which will be formulated in mid-March.

that's the email everyone gets after an interview before an acceptance offer date, which means you'll be considered for their 3rd acceptance batch in 2 days

i suppose that's a good thing. good lord they didn't necessary have to put that out there imo. sweating out here

Anyone know if VCU is receptive to telling you your rank/likelihood of coming off the WL if you are placed on the alternate list?

Wait so the email that is being referred to isn’t actually a “hold” then right? Because we haven’t heard their actual decision which comes out in 2 days?

yes, it's not a hold, you've been ranked already in their internal list, and if you're above the threshold then you get the A - if not, you remain in the list for the last acceptance date in march. if you don't get in then, you're on the WL

I interviewed 1/12. What’s the chance I hear 2/1? Additionally, there’s no guarantee I’ll hear 2/1?

Also, is there any way to know where you stand? I’ve seen ppl ask schools where they stand in WL. Is it also possible to ask or know where you ranked internally?

No guarantee we will hear back on 2/1. Idk the other answers!

Did you get an email earlier today saying that the admissions committee has discussed your candidacy? If yes, then I think you might receive some sort of communication from the admissions committee. I interviewed a couple days before you and received that email today.

Yup. I got the same email the other user posted about few hours ago.

I’m just curious and hella anxious about the decision day coming up.

Good luck ya'll! my interview is next week. good to know that ill be nervously waiting after that too : (

the adcoms meet every Monday such as today to rank those who interviewed recently into the list, so getting that email means you're in consideration for the next acceptance batch. ofc, if you aren't accepted on 2/1, you won't get any communication at all (speaking from personal experience)

if you look back at this thread, @tzuyu&yuqi interviewed on October 11th and got an acceptance on October 17th (a Monday), with them getting the hold email the day of, so it's definitely possible that you'll hear back even if you interviewed 1-2 weeks prior! rooting 4 u all

You’re a trooper for giving us the info and breakdown.

Does anyone know what time they typically send out acceptances? I’ll be anxiously refreshing my emails all day tomorrow!!

i got my acceptance email at 1:20~ PM EST in December which wasn't a committee meeting day, and those who got their acceptances in October (which was a committee meeting day) got it around 4-5 PM EST, so they'll probably start sending them out at 1-2 PM since it isn't a Monday?

Did anyone receive the hold email that interviewed on 1/19? Or after that?

Interviewed 1/18, didn't get the hold email, though it seems some people have received the hold email and decision on the same day.

How do we know what time they’ll send out emails? When will we get a portal update? (Assuming we get in haha)

sorry to interrupt from all of you anxiously awaiting results today (wishing the best for you), but did anyone who interviewed feel like 7 mins was a super long time to answer the questions, or were they complex enough to fill that time? i know it’s good to leave a minute or two for follow up questions, but as i’m practicing it consistently takes me 3 mins or less to say what i want to say and answer the question.

good luck again to all of you i’m rooting for lots of acceptances!

I think it's completely fine to take around 3 minutes or even less to answer! They were prepared with many follow-up questions. Good luck!

All of my practices were also just 3mins long, but I feel like the actual interview was more conversational than the regular MMI, and they ask a lot of follow up questions/ask if you have any questions for them once you are done answering
