Is the Kira talent done live on the interview day? Do we have to do anything prior to the interview day? I did another Kira talent and we had to do it before, so I just want to make sure I am not forgetting to do something before my interview lol
Its done live on interview day, not pre recorded. And nope you don't have to do anything prior to interview day other than set up kira.

Everyone was very kind and I felt like they were really rooting for me to succeed. It was a great experience!
Just want to echo this - was super stressed about the MMI but all my interviewers were awesome, asked thoughtful follow-up questions, and Dean Rivera does a great job of putting you at ease before it starts. I know saying 'don't stress' means nothing to you right now but I mean it!!

Does anyone know when MSTP decisions are typically released? I tried checking old threads and such but it's sometimes difficult to find MSTP specific info.

Are they sending out any more II’s lol

There’s only been two waves so far and the second wave interview dates were mid through late October, so I imagine there are still plenty of IIs to be sent. That’s also why they do the continued review because they don’t want to disadvantage those who interview later

Anyone know if note-taking is allowed during the interview? Thank you!

What is the turnaround time between II and an A or R or CR? Is it for sure 3 weeks or could it be less? For MSTP especially if that makes a difference

So far it's been a little over a month for me and I haven't heard yet, but I'm not sure if that's a pattern that will continue throughout the cycle. MSTP as well.

I haven't...
Just making sure: does NYU accept update letters? They have a document upload option on the portal but i can't find anything about them accepting update letters or not.
They said they make a decision pretty quickly after you interview and if you want to update prior to initial committee review, you need to get the letter in the day you interviewed or the day after. If they place you on continuing review maybe you can still upload one for the next time they come back to your application!

I haven't heard anything back at all (as in no II either). Do you know if the update letter is useful at this stage?

I think if you have something truly significant (ie new major publication, clinical position, etc), it could be useful, but otherwise I would not. Also, Dean Rivera made it clear that LOI are only really considered in a very specific situation that would only apply to those on the WL much later in the cycle.

Any more data points on how long after interview you hear about A, CR, WL, D? TIA!
You can hear about an A basically immediately after your interview. If you don’t receive an A within three weeks, you’ll receive a decision of CR or R after three weeks. If you’re on CR, you can still receive an A anytime after. All those on CR should receive a final decision in January if they aren’t accepted before then. At that point you’ll get a final decision of R, A, or WL. This is all straight from Dean Rivera during the post-interview info session.

I think that’s not quite right exactly. Everyone who gets an A is put on CR first, and then they can get the call at any point after that.

Has anyone got an A yet? Or does it work that every A has to go thru CR?

I know someone that got an A this cycle just two weeks after they were interviewed, so not necessary to be on CR first. But it seems like the majority of acceptances go on CR first based on Dean Rivera’s comments!
oh man A's have already been going out?

Are people hearing CR/R exactly three weeks out from their interview or is it a little looser than that? Wondering when I should expect

From what I've been seeing CR/R emails are sent on the first friday that is at least 3 weeks out from your interview date, but if you dont get it that friday then it will likely be the following friday

I was complete around July 20th with a 516 and 3.9, and slightly below avg service hours. Any idea if I should call it on NYU sending an II?

Has anyone gotten any post interview updates today? It’s been 3 weeks for me but they’re dead silent so far. I wonder if they’re still at work even considering it’s almost 6pm there

I went to an Einstein student interest session recently, and the students said that NYU closed their free clinic (mentioned in the context of the student run clinic at Einstein, ECHO, receiving an influx of patients due to this). Idk the validity of this claim (they may be wrong to some degree) but thought that it should be out there for those considering NYU

Received continuing review today ~ 11am EST. Interviewed 3 weeks ago

has anyone heard of any As in this cycle yet?
Dean had confirmed that are A’s being released but there are so few which is probably why there are no reports. They’re currently trickling them instead of batching and the combination of small class size+high yield rate means NYU accepts among the fewest students of any med school.
