No, it's not. You can still drop the acceptance before April 15th, from what I'm reading. After that you have to choose to either "plan to enroll" or "commit to enroll".

Oh damn no news. Anyone who interviewed December heard back?

Also I emailed them about the offer acceptance timeline lol. I also got confused w the 2 business day / 5 business day / april 15th of it all

Congrats!! Also interviewed in late october but silent for me 🥲 Did you receive it today or yesterday?
I got it last night w the other batch of folks ! (I'm just bad at checking my email lol) -- stay strong though!!!

Sounds like the “first round picks” are being chosen but there are still lots of acceptances to go around for the rest of us

Congrats on all the A's! I'm interviewing soon, any advise on what Downstate looks for or the types of questions they ask?

for accepted people - just making sure, we don't have to submit the deposit or "plan/commit to enroll" until april 15?
I think it said that deposit must be paid in 5 days? maybe i misread though

Mine was pretty chill, interviewer in their pajamas. We just kind of talked about our interests and they asked me about an MCAT section i did worse on than the others. It really wasn't that intense or anything.

Just be honest and tell a well-timed joke here and there.

Agreed. Saw a lot of the A's so far for people that are in the running/have acceptances at much higher ranking schools already.

I interviewed 9/28 but I'm not worried yet. Plenty of time and spots for the rest of us!

Does anyone that contacted the school know if they will continue to release decisions on a daily basis or if we have to wait another week or two?

Honestly Downstate just goes through your resume. At least that was how it was for me. They really focus on your biggest weakness and ask you how youve overcame it. Then they go over all of your clinica/research and volunteering. I thought it was really thorough tbh, and it was also fair. Make sure you have an answer for your biggest weakness. Mines was my ugrad gpa, I went to an SMP program and did really good in it. And its also been over 5yrs since ugrad and have worked in research and hospitals since then, I spoke about my maturity over the years etc. so make sure u have an answer for your biggest red flag.
