Got the A!
beginning of octPeople with A’s, did you guys interview relatively early?
April 15th I believefor accepted students, if we accept the offer are we supposed to pay $100 within two days from today, or is that $100 only required after april 15th?
ok same my heart is racing i thought we had until feb 14praying that the reason why i have not gotten anything back yet is because I interviewed in November 😭😭
Yeah back in like SeptPeople with A’s, did you guys interview relatively early?
interviewed 9/5People with A’s, did you guys interview relatively early?
No, it's not. You can still drop the acceptance before April 15th, from what I'm reading. After that you have to choose to either "plan to enroll" or "commit to enroll".question - is the decision to 'accept' the offer binding? i assume no but the website is a bit confusing
no decision, interviewed mid december 🙁 maybe we'll get decisions around v day?Oh damn no news. Anyone who interviewed December heard back?
No decision yet, nervous and still waiting but fingers crossed!Oh damn no news. Anyone who interviewed December heard back?
Congrats!! Also interviewed in late october but silent for me 🥲 Did you receive it today or yesterday?IS A! Interviewed late October!
I got it last night w the other batch of folks ! (I'm just bad at checking my email lol) -- stay strong though!!!Congrats!! Also interviewed in late october but silent for me 🥲 Did you receive it today or yesterday?
wondering the same thing :/If I interviewed on 9/20 and haven’t heard anything, is that bad news?
I think it said that deposit must be paid in 5 days? maybe i misread thoughfor accepted people - just making sure, we don't have to submit the deposit or "plan/commit to enroll" until april 15?
Mine was pretty chill, interviewer in their pajamas. We just kind of talked about our interests and they asked me about an MCAT section i did worse on than the others. It really wasn't that intense or anything.Congrats on all the A's! I'm interviewing soon, any advise on what Downstate looks for or the types of questions they ask?
whats that?Anyone just get a rendered decision email?
Nope! Interviewed end of December 😭 now we waitOh damn no news. Anyone who interviewed December heard back?
I'm in the same boat as you! Wondering if we'll hear later today or in a few weeks lolhas anyone who interviewed in nov. heard anything? Currently nervous
Agreed. Saw a lot of the A's so far for people that are in the running/have acceptances at much higher ranking schools already.Sounds like the “first round picks” are being chosen but there are still lots of acceptances to go around for the rest of us
I interviewed in early october and same...seeing people accepted with later interview dates is stressing me outIf I interviewed on 9/20 and haven’t heard anything, is that bad news?
I'd assume in batches just based on previous threads. Hopefully February is the "big wave" at least for fall interviewees.Does anyone that contacted the school know if they will continue to release decisions on a daily basis or if we have to wait another week or two?
Honestly Downstate just goes through your resume. At least that was how it was for me. They really focus on your biggest weakness and ask you how youve overcame it. Then they go over all of your clinica/research and volunteering. I thought it was really thorough tbh, and it was also fair. Make sure you have an answer for your biggest weakness. Mines was my ugrad gpa, I went to an SMP program and did really good in it. And its also been over 5yrs since ugrad and have worked in research and hospitals since then, I spoke about my maturity over the years etc. so make sure u have an answer for your biggest red flag.Congrats on all the A's! I'm interviewing soon, any advise on what Downstate looks for or the types of questions they ask?
