Hi all.
Throwaway account for privacy.
I'm stuck deciding between the two.
SB would be cheaper. right now its looking like around 45-50k less. I think its a very good program. The 1.5 year preclinical doesn't seem ideal for me but i think it definitely has its advantages.SB doesn't have as much clinical exposure preclinical but they start earlier. They're not true P/F. SB is alot closer to home and my support network though. I liked the "feel" but wasn't blown away.
BU is more prestigious. Its obvious more money. I went to state school for college and would like the opportunity to good to the best school I can. I feel they have more student support and better experience. True P/F. I liked the "feel" there. I'd like the opportunity to live in Boston for a bit as I've lived close to home my whole life. Its only a 4 hr ride away.
I'm going to second look for both. I feel the choice I make down the rode won't make much of an impact on my career. I think they're both strong programs and I'm in a good spot. I'm leaning towards BU though because I haven't had an opportunity or experience to do the best I can. I think BU is a better school and could offer me more. Plus moving would be an experience as well.
Any thoughts? I understand its my decision to make. I feel looking back in 20 years I wouldn't regret either but feel better if I went to BU having taken advantage of the opportunity. Am I overlooking something? Is it better to stay close to home base?
Thank You!
