I just got an email saying "We expect to be mailing letters by the end of this week to all applicants who interviewed with us in October."

I hope I wasn't the only one who got this :scared:

I got that as well! A part of me died when I saw the email. I guess they had really productive meetings.

So I have interviews at Tufts and Portland (Maine Track) back to back in early December. Are these two interviews supposed to be closely linked? Because I believe I can move the Tufts interview to an earlier date. What should I do!!!!?
 
got the email today saying that they got my tuiton deposit! whooo!!!

december doesnt seem terrible, chessodoc? why dont you call and aks?
 
Does everyone who has interviewed in October get that email to update their contact info?

Tried calling, no one answered. I thought December is towards the end of the interview season 🙁

Do you know if I would be interviewing for a guaranteed spot or a will be put on a list?

I think they keep spaces open so interviewees are interviewing for open spots 🙂

I think it really varies by school. But I am about 95% sure Tufts works this way. I think I heard it at their interview day.
 
After you sent in your tuition deposit post-acceptance, did you get a confirmation?

Anyone know how late they give out interviews? Because I would looove a Tufts interview... I was complete around mid September... time for me to accept my rejected fate?

I got the call around 5:30 from a 617 number. I think the last round of acceptances there were calls over 2 days so no need to worry yet. Good luck!! :luck:
 
Sigh... Haven't gotten a call from Tufts today + Rejection from UPitt = Unhappy me.
 
I just got accepted today! 😀 Got a call from Dean Neumeyer (a 781 number) about 5 minutes ago (10:45 AM EST). So if you interviewed in October but didn't get a call yesterday, don't freak out yet. Good luck :luck: and HAPPY HALLOWEEN
 
Hey linguini, you just cheered me up immensely. I was wondering, what does your last name start with? Because I'm wondering if he's going alphabetically...
 
Is tufts anybody's first choice for medical school? All my friends who have interviewed there tell me it's nothing special (compared to other schools in its range) and coupled with the fact that it's the most expensive private school make me reluctant to schedule my interview.

I guess I am just so tired of interviewing on the other coast that I want to know whether this school is worth it.. Anybody have any input?

I'll take your interview 🙂. But, seriously that all depends on if you have an acceptance yet. If you have an acceptance to a place where you can see yourself, then don't go. Otherwise, I would def go to every interview. When did you get your invite?
 
Boston is a fabulous city to spend four years in especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. But if you want to stay on the other coast and already have an acceptance there, don't come out east. Geography is important.
 
uh oh...i interviewed early october and no phone call yet...uh oh..crap and i had a great interview too!
 
any october interviewers get an email for active consideration?
 
Accepted!!!!!!! It's my first one and I am soooo happy! I got my call on 10/31 around 1:00pm PST. Best voicemail ever!
 
Congrats to all who have been accepted! I LOVED the day at Tufts and was highly impressed with the school.

I'm a bit worried though…both of my interviews went VERY well...yet I have not received a phone call or the email for active consideration. Could this equal rejection???

This is a different kind of Hurray! from the rest of you guys, but my application is finall "complete" as of today.

How long should I expect to wait until I hear I have (or don't have) an interview?

i would guess around a month....

I was complete September 18th or so, and still haven't heard either way... has anyone had to wait over a month to find out and still get an interview?

Sorry I can't answer your question, but perhaps you should call them to see what's going on? It can't hurt...
