Who's excited for the Second Look Weekend?
Me!!!
According to the admissions office, there has been waitlist movement already, and it will continue through the day before orientation. Again, the WL isn't ranked, and the size of the WL was not available for popular consumption.
Awesome! Except I won't know who any of you are when I meet you. Are y'all in the FB group??
I'm uncool and I don't have a Facebook. Let's develop a complex system of hand signals to identify one another.
What do you suggest?![]()

so upon realizing i could apply for financial aid despite not being accepted, i logged into the wash u financial aid app using my SS# as a first time login. i looked at the first page of the app and decided not to fill it out now so closed it. now i can't log back into either the first time login (i'm guessing b/c now the system has recorded my SS) nor the returning user login (requires SS AND DOB, but my DOB was not saved b/c i did not save/submit my financial app)....this happen to anyone? ideas? 🙁
call/email and let them know your situation? they're pretty nice about thingsbump!

So some of you who are on the waitlist are filling out financial aid stuff? Where did you get the links? I emailed the committee about forms and they told me only accepted students should worry about the forms. Confused.
Any other things I should look into while I'm waiting to hear back from the committee?
there is a link in the waitlist email.
Bump for the weekend....how's everyone feeling?
impatient. Hoping and praying i get in off the waitlist along with i'm sure many others on sdn and those not on it.
Hi there, I probably should've been monitoring this thread for a while, but hey hindsight is 20/20. I might've met some of you at second look weekend (or maybe not), but I was wondering if y'all had a facebook group or anything for accepted students and how do I get in on that party.
Also, I've been in StL for the past 4 years (WashU undergrad), so if any of you are on the fence and want yet another perspective on what it's like out here (hint: I'm happily staying another 4 years in the midwest), feel free to ask as well.
P.S. good luck to all the waitlisted students!![]()
I just withdrew. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!

Did you call the admin office and they told you they had taken people from the WL or you "heard" it from sdn?
Well that's not a very nice thing to call that nice lady!I called the office and the lady said (unprompted, if I remember correctly) that students had already been taken off. Hopefully we can trust the horse's mouth.
So who's going here?
*points with two thumbs* This guy!
But serious business, I'm pumped.
Anyone gonna be around this summer? (I just posted that on the fb group, but two places is better than one, right? right?)
*points with two thumbs* This girl!
I'm doing the research-y thing. And I'm beyond excited about it. Just finished my proposal. It's gonna be fun. Yay new, more exciting research!
Now I know who you are too! Question is, do you know who I am? It's not that hard.![]()
Uggh,
Most of these top-10 schools should refine their websites. It is impossible to get any meaningful information from them. I don't mean to single out WashU (only Yale and UCSF) actually have aesthetically pleasing and informative websites.
Withdrew today. Good luck all, I hope the spot goes to someone who loved it at WashU!
"maybe it's mabelene!"Like me!
"maybe it's mabelene!"
😉 it's a catchy jingleniiiice. a guy who knows his makeup commercial slogans.
Amen.I know, seriously. Hopefully in 5 days, WashU gets moving on that waitlist. Acceptances for all! (If only they listened to me...)
Yeah.. there's hardly any activity here.
So.. does WashU send out acceptances on the 15th? Or is that just a myth? I'm getting all fidgety.
FWIW, I was accepted off of the WL on 5/18 last year, which was a Monday. That means 5/15/2009 was a Friday, and I'm pretty sure there were acceptances that day.
Thanks for the info, bro.FWIW, I was accepted off of the WL on 5/18 last year, which was a Monday. That means 5/15/2009 was a Friday, and I'm pretty sure there were acceptances that day.
Thanks for the info, bro.
BTW, do they give grant to students who got off the waitinglist?
Sure it does, in the sense that I'm working my butt off and I feel that I have a right to the fruits of my labor. Pre-meds work hard, but it's a completely different ball game. I never referenced the experience of medicine. I referenced the experience of medical school.
