I called earlier today out of curiosity. Margie said that no acceptances were sent out and that she did not know a timeline for which they would be sent out. Watching SDN has proved to cause more anxiety then just chilling out and letting come what may. However, if I get a letter I will definitely post and it will be legitimate.
Come on haider I have deposit deadlines approaching!

Just got off the phone with Margie. She said they haven't finished deciding on all the applicants and has no idea when decisions will be completed.

So what my impression is all applicants are ranked 1-48. Then numbers 1-24 are sent formal letter acceptances. If one of those 24 declines then the next on the list is phone called/email with an acceptance.
So if ur ranked 30 u need ~6to decline to be offered an acceptance.
But then again. I don't work for adcoms so I don't know

I think that they replace women with wait listed women and men with wait listed men to keep the ratio of women to men 50/50. At least that seemed to be the trend in previous years...

And looking back on previous threads (2009-2010 & 2010-2011) it seems like the committee meets on Thursdays and applicants get letters in the mail either on Fridays or Saturdays. I need a life...

Wow, so was this the second time they met? Here's to hoping that they've made their decisions--I think (just my guess, nothing factual) that they should be sending them out soon, if the post about them needing to fill the seats by April is true.

By chance are you PRIME applicant? When browsing facebook for a Thomas Haider 2016 page I noticed someone listing 2016 PRIME-UCR, which would explain the disparity with the regular acceptances.

Yeah about that...
They were supposed to submit all acceptances to AMCAS on March 15th which I I'm not sure they did so it could be a possibility that we will hear after March 30th. Apparently many med schools send out acceptances past the deadline.
Even one of the second years that I talked to said that during their cycle apparently 10 acceptances were given out and then 2 months later the rest were sent out. It turns out that Dean Parker went on vacation and then Dean Byus went on vacation after Parker returned so that was the hold up (they need to approve all of our acceptances)

I called 3 or 4 days ago and asked if Acceptances/Letters were going to be sent any time soon and Margi said they needed to be prepared. I took that to mean that decisions had been made and they just need to get letters out, but that is just my impression. She may have meant that acceptance decisions need to be reached.

Goodness...I sure hope that they finish their vacation time soon. (Also hope that they picked an awesome place to go have a vacation, to offset the waiting we've all had to do hahaha 😛)
