anyone know about the next release date?
anyone know about the next release date?
Got my II about a week ago, still trying to sort out the logistics of it all. Also, all the spots are gone, so I'm told to call someone in the department. 😀 Sigh.
Candav - are you a fellow Canadian? Mind if I ask why you withdrew?
I still don't think I fully understand their financial aid situation. I know as a foreigner I'm not eligible for loans, or need-based support, but are we still considered for merit scholarships?
Anyone interviewing on Feb. 15th? I'm getting in around 2:00. Feel like killing time until the pizza dinner?
I am Canadian as well as yes we are considered for WashU's many merit scholarships, as chronicidal has pointed out. Never lose hope 🙂 (at least not with your MCAT).
CANADA ROCKSSS! Fellow Canadian here. Filius I have bee following you around on SDN for a while. Trust me you are more than fine! I know one Canadian from UWO who got accepted mid March (interviewed late February).
Yes, I'm Canadian. I withdrew mainly because I've already been accepted to another school I'd choose other WashU. Also, I did all my other interviews earlier in the season, so by now I'm all interview-ed out.
International students at WashU are not eligible for financial aid, and must pay all four years' costs in escrow prior to matriculation. I believe the escrow amount comes to a bit over $250,000. Of course, they have a few great merit scholarships here which international students are eligible for; but my MCAT is about half yours, and I didn't think I had much chance of scoring one.
Good luck!
Isn't that the same with Johns Hopkins, which i would assume would be your top choice based on your profile? (Congrats by the way!)
I also don't think JHU gives out any merit based scholarships...
I am also international.
Has anyone accepted heard about the scholarship application process yet?
Hey, sorry if it wasn't clear -- I was originally responding to Filius' question regarding financial arrangements at WashU for internationals. I didn't withdraw from WashU because of the financial situation; I withdrew because I preferred Hopkins and didn't see a point to interviewing here.
So glad to see Canadians/internationals doing well this cycle! It warms the shrivelled little cavity where my heart should be.
Rejection letter today. Good luck everyone who's still in it!
Rejection letter by USPS today. Complete 9/26
did you have an interview?
Rejection letter today 🙁
Good luck to everyone else!
I may be wrong, but my understanding is that few if any get rejected post-interview (long wait-list instead) before March 15th. Has anybody even been waitlisted yet? If not, then WashU has a similar system to Vandy.

Yep, the only people getting rejected now are pre-interview. Around mid-April everyone will get notified - some will be rejected, some will be accepted, and most will be waitlisted. Lots of waitlist movement there after.
are more decisions coming out this Friday?
rejection letter today. Good luck to everyone still in the running!
I think the next date in 2/24.
So admissions tonight? Also, again if I interviewed in early Jan would tonight be too early?
no decisions were made yesterday, right? i guess we have to wait for 2 more weeks...
idk if im disappointed or relieved![]()
So I've just been catching up on this thread and I am a little confused about merit aid here.
In looking at past years, posts seemed to indicate that some accepted students were sent a merit scholarship application that was due in late February or March.
But I think I remember someone here saying that now you would receive an email and you write a paragraph about why you would like a scholarship?
Does anyone know for sure how it works (or has anyone received or been invited to apply for merit aid yet?)
Yay WashU!
At my interview day, I believe we were told everyone is automatically going to be considered for merit aid this year (because everyone fills out the merit application anyways).
correct me if I am wrong
1) There is a "graduate student full tuition award" that women can apply for. Unfortunately, it looks like the application process is already over for those applying from our cycle (app was due Jan 25th, and only those who are "applying for a degree program in which they are not currently enrolled" can apply).
Check it out at:

If I haven't heard back from them by now, is it safe to say that I'm rejected pre-interview? Do they do silent rejections?
So all the documents up for Finaid right now are the correct ones, right? I was a little confused since they said all the updated documents would be up 2/13. . . then changed the date on the site to 2/20 this week. 😕
