last year was 3/15, no?

Edit: Yes, 3/15, with emails rolling out during the morning. I assume similar timing this year.

Only...4 weeks and 3 days away! Roughly 30 days!!! Almost there we can do it SDN!!! 😍 😍

2 years ago, decisions came out on March 8th. So (hopefully) the 15th would be the latest we would hear.

Any current students care to elaborate on their experience at Weill. There have been negative posts regarding the school a few years back. I loved the school and just wish to get additional feedback.

Thanks!

Anyone hear back yet? Or am I taking "early March" too literally? 😀

Isn't it Mid-March?

So the 15th is next Friday! Has anyone sent any updates or LoIs?

Is the 15th confirmed to be the day?

Didn't they send out decisions like in Dec. last year? If that changed then the mid-march could have changed, as well. At my interview they stated early-mid March, but who knows for sure. Perhaps Mrs. Guerrier would be so kind as to come here and give us a more definitive answer........😀

Last year they gave out a small number of acceptances in December (meaning 2011), but this cycle it appears as if all acceptances will go out "mid-March" or later. Good luck all!

It can be anytime really. Last year the spring batch came out March 15, but two years ago it was a few days earlier. Hopefully sometime next week we find out, latest being Friday!

my faculty interviewer had said that the heavy emphasis on PBL has led to lower board scores; can anybody comment on this?

Where didi you send the LOI? [email protected] or [email protected]? I feel I don't have significant updates, just want to express my interest. Thanks!

I sent one to the wcmc-admissions because that was the email address I had on hand. You should receive some sort of confirmation that they've added the update to your file.

My status is loading fine...how about everyone else?

My status is also loading fine, whatever WMC is =P

How are you all checking your statuses? The site I used to upload my secondary now just says, "The deadline to complete and submit the Supplemental Application Form (SAF) has passed." Am I missing something?

what is the significance of status loading fine...? am i missing something?

look at previous years threads...it seemed to have some significance at a certain point...

Could you elaborate so that we don't have to go back through all of the pages to speculate as to what will happen?

Last year decisions came out 3/8. Anybody care to wager when they will come out this year?:naughty:

My status page looks completely unchanged from when i submitted my secondary. Hasn't changed since like July.

My status page said something to the extent of "thanks for interviewing here, the class will be selected in mid-March and we'll send email notifications then."

Interesting.

very interesting. I checked again because I thought I was going crazy - literally 10 minutes ago it had something about secondary applications. Now it has the thanks for interviewing message. Weird.

Also unimportant. 🙂

does anyone have admit stats? i don't want to look through all of it again. Also preparing myself for waitlist. does anytone have info on waitlist movement at cornell?

I have written down that ~40% of those interviewed get accepted. I can't remember what the exact numbers are.

I just looked through last year's thread and, apart from the acceptances, there appeared to be a lot of people getting waitlisted and only a couple rejections post-interview. Nobody posted about getting off the waitlist until after May 15th.

This decision can't come soon enough. I just don't want to be wait listed. I'd take a rejection over waitlist; at least a rejection is definite.

Hey all,

Just curious, has anyone called/emailed admissions to ask them if they have a timetable?

I just called them. They said hopefully by mid march, but nothing more specific.

Hopefully that means next week.

To whom should the LOI/updates addressed?

Dean or Admissions committee?

Thanks!

I addressed mine to the admissions committee and I also notified my interviewers by email that I had submitted an update because I think they're your advocates in the admissions committee meetings.

I'm a WCMC student, and I can comment on this. PBL actually occupies very little of our instruction time here (usually two to three mornings each week, ~1 hour sessions). This doesn't affect boards scores at all. If our curriculum was super PBL-heavy like some other schools, I could maybe see that making an impact.. but it definitely doesn't hurt scores here. We tend to do really well.. scope the previous match lists if you want to get a general idea. Good luck to you all during this final push before you hear all of your decisions! Come to second look if you can, it's definitely going to be a wild weekend for you guys. We've got some fun plans brewing

So I guess decisions for this school is coming March 15th, and not March 8th as in the year before last. :luck:
