They just emailed me back - I'll be there Oct 17, which was my first choice!

They probably responded so promptly because I emailed them back with my choice of dates a whopping 9 minutes after I received the II email. 😛

Oct 24. Thanks for taking my top choice though Einstein 🙂 Couldn't respond as fast of you because of orgo lab and chemicals and stuff...

Hahaha, sorry about that! Now I can let you know how it is, though! And I got the email as I was walking to a mock interview at my school so I was all like OH HELL TO THE YESSSS 😀

I'll be interviewing Nov. 5th. Just got my confirmation from them!

Oct 24 for me too! Though it was my first choice because I couldn't do the 17th or 22nd. See you there!!

How long did you guys wait to get a complete email (if there is one?)? I've been waiting a week and still nothing from this school except for this email.

"Thank you for your submitting your supplemental application and fee to the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Your complete supplemental application is necessary for further consideration of your application. The final deadline for the supplemental application letters of evaluation and MCAT scores is December 1, 2012. Deadline extensions will not be permitted. We recommend you complete your application as soon as possible to be given the earliest consideration."

Does this mean that I'm missing something? 😕

took me about 10 days from submission to completion

Congrats to all those with invites 🙂

Been in the pool since 7/30...guess I won't be getting one any time soon..

Is the small pool the same as being placed into their primary screening category--been there since aug 17th :-(

There's a second email that comes out that tells you that you're in the small pool. There's still time though!

Well well that rumor has been circulating around DePaul college of science a lot these days, but I didn't expect to hear about it on sdn. I've talked with my advisors and other people "in-the-know" and the short answer is No.

Long answer is that there have been more and more collaborative efforts by DePaul and Rosalind over the past couple of years, and I know they would like to someday have a funnel system from DePaul to certain programs at RFU (pharm and pa come to mind). The summer research I did at RFU was paid for by DePaul, so there was faculty from both schools working together on that. No one will admit to anything too big right now, and I'm not too sure about DePaul outright buying CMS. It does seem like they might be heading in that direction over the next 5-10 years though.

There was just an official announcement a week or two ago about this. First of all, DePaul is most definitely not buying CMS (don't know where that came from). There is in the works a new partnership (including an expansion of the college of allied health professions, from what it sounds like) to bring our two universities together. This includes sharing of new and old faculty, development of feeder programs, and of new research opportunities. This means that you guys will have a lot more opportunities than in the past.

20-40 MCAT? I mean I understand anonymity but it would have been just as helpful to have said "I took an MCAT". Otherwise, what is 20-40?

Haha I was just trying to be humorous 🙂. I'll narrow it down to 30-35.

I know this is a really late question, and I saw it once was earlier in the thread--but I'd like conformation from someone else...

Looking at the secondary after submission it cuts off a god chunk of what I wrote. Can anyone else confirm that the adcoms can read the entirety of my secondary essays?

Pretty sure it was asked like 15 times earlier in the thread.

To answer your question, yes they can see it. Don't sweat it.

So I sent them an "in the area" email today. Got a "thanks but no thanks" rejection shortly after. Best of luck to everyone else!

Finally small pooled today

pooled today as well but I feel like this pool isn't as small as SDN makes it out to be... it seems more like we all just passed one round of screening...

For those of you who were recently small pooled, do you remember the date of your "complete" email? I received that on 9/5, but still no small pool...Thanks!

Ouch. I'm sorry, man. Would you mind sharing or PMing your stats?

complete around 8/20 I believe... it was like a month and one week.. it does not say 'small pool' just 'pool'... why is everyone calling it a small pool because it seems rather large from the looks of this thread (comparing pooled ppl to rejected ppl)???

I was complete and entered screening on 8/8/12... small pooled on 8/27/12.

Exactly what I was thinking. It doesn't make a lot of sense to have a primary screen if it doesn't do much screening.

Well, it's certainly smaller than the entire pool...next step is the tiny pool, then the microscopic pool, then maybe an interview!

Also, I think it's safe to say that the heavy SDN user is a stronger applicant (or at least more neurotic, and likely to post) than other applicants. And I'd say people are more apt to post good news than bad news (rejections), so I bet this pool is smaller than you think.

i'll give you that more people will post positive news vs rejections..but the way the email is worded makes me feel like it's nothing to get too thrilled about. they say something like 'you are in a pool (not small) of people who can either be invited or rejected' (too lazy to pull it up) don't get me wrong, i'm super happy that i haven't been rejected YET.. but that is all it means to me at the moment. i guess i am just becoming more negative by the day here.

DePaul and Rosalind are getting hitched! Just got the email this morning from the pres. of DePaul. Only really affects college freshman entering next year though but still pretty exciting.

"Students, regardless of whether they eventually apply to Rosalind Franklin, will be eligible to receive academic and career advice from Rosalind Franklin's medical and health professionals and staff, a rare benefit for undergraduates in pre-professional programs.

Early-admission pathways for qualified students into six of Rosalind Franklin's professional programs: medicine, pharmacy, podiatric medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant studies and pathologist assistant studies. Several of these will be available for freshmen enrolling in the fall of 2014.

DePaul and Rosalind Franklin University fit together naturally. With more than 2,000 students in five graduate-level schools, Rosalind Franklin encompasses many highly competitive programs, including pharmacy and physical therapy. The two institutions share a history of innovative and interdisciplinary programs, a commitment to increasing the diversity of students entering the health care professions and a mission of community service

Pretty late to the party, but passed the initial screening today, which I assume means I'm small pool'd. Stats in MDApp, email received around 3-4pm CST.

Got pooled in early August but have not heard a peep since. Does this mean I have been passed over for an interview?

Complete 09/15 just received primary screening email today.. I guess I'm waiting to be small pooled now?
