Agreed. But SDN represents such a small sample of interviewees though. When someone brought up SDN during some small talk, I remembered that not many people in my interview group knew what SDN was.

Waitlisted.
The thing that seems so strange is that when I interviewed last week they absolutely told us we would not have a decision for 6 weeks. I am wondering and also hopeful that for some reason there was a glitch in their system. 3.8 / 32R
I don't know what to say. It is kinda straining. First, people stressed over getting an interview. Now people stress over getting accepted.Waitlisted as well :/ interviewed the first day. 9/10. So much for being early in the process helping my application :/

It is now.Is CMS pass/fail?
Got small-pooled as well on Oct. 18th. From what I've read, the school definitely isn't open to updates but does anyone know/has anyone contacted them this year to see if they're open to letters of interest?
I actually called a few days ago and they said that they only accept letters post-interview.
Ah. Thanks for letting me know! Also, congratulations 🙂
Correctamundo! If we submit a deposit, it's not binding, right? I can still withdraw before May 15th, and I don't give up my spot at other schools, right?
I know, I agree....I just wish they'd tell me already! Even if it's a rejection I feel like it would be better just to know.
anyone know for sure whether the waitlisted ppl get re-reviewed each month at meetings (meaning more like a hold), or not? It seems like last year people didn't get actually waitlisted until spring, but instead got a "hold" status, which seems to be missing this year. I thought I remembered them saying that we would be re-reviewed, and other ppl said the same thing, but I'm not 100% sure.

I was small pooled in August and haven't heard anything since then. I seriously think they forgot about me haha
With regard to the acceptance/waitlist ratio:
Little known fact: About 70 spots will be taken by students in the pre-matriculation programs. The BMS program at RFUMS funnels in a good number of students, and there are a couple of other pre-matric programs that lead to admission.
Thus, the number of spots for students previously unassociated with RFUMS is just over 100. Keeping in mind that RFUMS interviews more than 500 applicants every year (I don't know the exact number, but it's a lot), this acceptance/waitlist ratio shouldn't be too surprising.
Hey, so did all of you guys get a complete email from RFU? I went back through my email (after neurotically reading all of the posts on this board, of course) and realized I never got one after the secondary received email. Is it time for panicking?
I also tried to email/call the office...anyone have luck getting though?
It's quite normal for RFU, so no need for panicking. It takes them forever to send their complete emails. Mine took about 2.5 weeks. I was also told by some other users, like TheShaker, that it took about ~2 weeks for them to get theirs. It's also possible that the later you submitted your secondary, the longer you will have to wait ... but this is only a speculation.
If it's been over 3 weeks, give them a call to see what's up.
It has been almost 3 weeks since I entered primary screening and I haven't been small pooled yet. I'm guessing this means rejection? I wouldn't be surprised, considering that my Life in Discovery essay indicated that I had no clue who Rosalind Franklin was at the time. 😳
+1, entered screening 9/27 and haven't heard a peep.I hope not! I (apparently) entered screening about four weeks ago and haven't heard anything.![]()
Rejected today pre-interview. OOS applicant and complete 9/28/12. Application wasn't compelling enough to over come poor stats. Good luck everyone else.
I submitted 9/15, so it's been about 6 weeks....I have tried calling three or four times a day since Friday and keep getting voicemails. I also tried emailing Friday and no response as of yet. What should I do?
EDIT--Finally got through! Audrey was incredibly nice and checked my final--turns out I just never got a complete email. I'm in the screeing process so now time to be nervous about never having been small pooled instead!
The primary screening can take up to 6 weeks. If you care about the school, call the admission counselor.
