I have been small pooled and nothing (OOS)
Do they take LOis before II?

Nope. They're the one school that returned an update I sent with "Sorry, no updates are accepted until you've been invited to interview."I have been small pooled and nothing (OOS)

I passed the primary screening just today. Does that mean I'm small pooled?
Yes you've been "small-pooled". But that pool is by no means small anymore haha
So Rosalind goes Secondary->Pooled->Interview? Weird.
Any idea on how much time one typically splashes around before getting interviewed?
Man, I hope that this would be my story to tell. This isn't something you can gauge. The school may kick you around for a while before offering an interview, or it may offer one right away. Personally, I was small pooled last November, interviewed last April, and accepted early May (no waitlist). Panicking won't do you any good. You'll just have to wait.

Seems like a pretty good way to not give out many interviews and have people decline spots. I'm pretty sure I have better chances at UIC, but I have no idea why a school supposedly looking to improve it's standing has such a roundabout admissions and recruiting process.
Did you get a separate email saying you small-pooled? I got the email called CSM primary screening saying: " Your application has entered the screening process..." and I wondered should I expect a second email? Thanks!Small Pooled today!
Entered primary screening 9/17

I'm interviewing here on Nov. 12 and will be flying into O'Hare on the 11th. It looks like a pain/ super expensive to get out to CMS from the airport. If anyone is interested in splitting a cab PM me.
It should cost no more that $45 per way in Taxi. If you want, you can also take the train from O'hare to down town Chicago and the Metra (train) from down town to Lake Forest/ North Chicago area. That should cost $2.75 plus $5.40 per way. Chicago public trans. is great. Let me know if you have any questions. They don't screen, everyone gets one. Just be patient. I haven't gotten a secondary at other schools that send one to everyone, so I'm sure they'll get to you soon 🙂
On another note, I got this email after submitting: "Thank you for your submitting your supplemental application and fee to the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Your complete supplemental application is necessary for further consideration of your application. The final deadline for the supplemental application letters of evaluation and MCAT scores is December 1, 2012. Deadline extensions will not be permitted. We recommend you complete your application as soon as possible to be given the earliest consideration."
It should be complete, why would we submit without completing it? Is there something else we need to do?
Yeah, I've been to Chi Town a lot. Whenever you can go train, it's seriously the best, hands-down.It should cost no more that $45 per way in Taxi. Thoughts on sending post-interview LOIs to RFUMS?

Is small-pooled different from primary screening? Anyone??? How is it different?😕
Entering primary screening is not being small pooled. Being small pooled is the next step, when you get an email that says you have passed primary screening. Good luck!![]()
Also small pooled yesterday, secondary submitted on 9/15 and marked complete 10/4. I actually thought that they were going to reject me, just cause it's been so long since I submitted. Here's hoping for some ii's in the pool!
What are your stats? I submitted a day after you and did not hear back after entering primary screening.
They seem to be really slow, so don't give up hope. I'm in a boat really similar to you guys wrt to dates and just got small pooled after emailing them. My application is kind of bipolar for reference, 3.39/37Q. Send them a polite e-mail once the six weeks are up to confirm all is in order with your application, and prepare to wait a bit more.
are you URM? if not you might be wasting your money this late in the game. just my opinion though. So I'm going to turn in my secondary next week....

any chance I met get a pity interview/acceptance?
I don't think any schools give out "pity interviews." If they decide to interview you it will be because they think you could be a good fit for their class. Good luck!
With your stats I think it's a long shot for you to get accepted there this cycle. If you really want to get in I encourage you to look into the BMS program at RFU, which you should be able to get into. It's a year-long master's program that guarantees you an interview with the med school. Supposedly getting into CMS through this program is based almost entirely on your grades during the program with typically ~70% acceptance rate. I'm currently in BMS so feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Here's the link to this past year's sdn thread if you're interested:So I'm going to turn in my secondary next week....

If you're driving and don't mind a short drive, I can recommend a really cheap motel in Brookfield (~$50)... PM me if you're interested.Does this school have student hosts cuz these hotels are expensive. If not anybody interviewing on Dec. 5 that wants to share a hotel Dec 4. If so then shoot me a reply to this message.
