Has anyone heard any post-interview decisions back recently? Hoping for good news here soon... (it hasn't been 6 weeks for me yet, but just hoping...)

Just got small pooled also!

I thought they forgot about me!

I've heard that they meet 1x a month near the end of the month, so hopefully soon!

Dear Rosalind Franklin University,

Please join the 21st century and make a status page I can neurotically check.

Thanks.

So how long has it been taking, on average, for people to hear back about IIs after being small pooled?

Went through with a bunch of withdrawals yesterday/this morning - good luck to everyone, hopefully one of you gets the spot. 🙂

Took mine about 6 weeks and I feel like that's around normal.

Going through withdrawal?! 😱

Qué Onda! Je suis désolé.

Well played, sir.

Wanna go on a date? a/s/l? LoL

EDIT: minus the "s," since we already established that earlier. LoL

lulz, oh, the internet. What an SDN date would even entail.... but it does look like we have a few schools in common, we can be SDN buddies 😎

I feel like there haven't been iis sent out in a long time? Am I wrong in thinking that? Anyone know if they send them out in monthly or biweekly?

Just got accepted! I interviewed November 5th, so that was a pretty fast turnaround. Good luck to all other applicants 🙂

Also accepted today 🙂 after being placed on post-interview waitlist. Interviewed 10/15, waitlisted 10/22.

Hmm...waitlisted too. This was actually my best interview, so this is interesting. Maybe they had already made up their mind before I got there. Would have bet a ton of money that I was in here...very interesting.

Accepted!!! So for the folks waitlisted in the first round (especially if you thought your interviews went well), there is hope!

Bummed - didn't get any news today! Hope that doesn't mean I won't hear anything til their meeting next month. 🙁

Yeah the fact that they re review every month gives ppl from early on a really good chance to get in by the end!!! Don't lose waitlist hope. I know its hard I was on three with no acceptances. Now I have two acceptances. Just be patient. It'll happen!!

Wait, do they not tell you if you're waitlisted, is that just the default? I mean, I get that I'm waiting, but they did send you an email saying you were waitlisted previously, right?

Btw, congrats on your acceptance!! 😀

Yeah I got an email last month about the waitlist. I think like 70% of those interviewed got WL. I bet they give everyone a score and accept the top 30 or so each meeting (last Mon of the month so far...). At least that's what it seems to me.

LoL!!! That's my exact timeline! Maybe we'll be lucky enough to interview together, too! *fingers crossed*

That is hilarious and completely crazy!

I'm really hoping we get intervews sooon! 🙁 Im starting to get sad lol 😎

Gotcha. Just wanted to make sure I shouldn't totally assume anything either way...

Edit: wait listed. At least it's clear there is still reason to hope!

ur one step closer to getting an interview!

Small pooled yesterday (11/20), been in screening since 9/14.

This question is to those of you who recently got accepted off the waitlist - did you send an update letter/letter of interest after being notified of your waitlist status?

I submitted my application rather late (I entered screening on Nov 1), so I was wondering how much of a disadvantage would I have with a slightly-above-average profile, considering that it seems to take such a long time to enter small pool, be invited for an interview, then for an decision to be made?

FYI:
CMS only interviews Sept-December for MD applicants. January and February are dedicated solely to applicants within their other programs such as Biomedical sciences etc. So if you haven't heard back/gotten an interview by the time end of December comes, you won't interview until March. They had around 11,000 applicants this year. Have gotten nowhere near to finishing those screenings. Given acceptances to about 1/3 of their class size so far. (I'm close with the admissions board)

I did not. But was waitlisted less than a week after interview so I still believe my file had not been reviewed till now.

Thanks for your help tarheelbroncos. Do MD applicants still stand a fair chance if they're interviewing in March, or would the only way to gain admission then would be to have an truly outstanding profile? In other words, how disadvantaged are later applicants?

If they only accepted 1/3 of the class size, then I think we still have a good chance in March... but I'm only speculating. I entered screening pretty late as well ... It took forever for me to get the complete email! 🙁

Hey guys,

I'm a Canadian student who picked RFU as one of my choices in my primary. Now I know it sounds stupid but I haven't gotten a chance to fill out the secondary yet. I have been very busy with my courses, my thesis project, Canadian appl, and other secondaries.

Do you think I still have a chance if I submit the application within the next two days?

Well to be honest, the people that they have accepted so far are generally the people that will use CMS as a backup/safety school and they will withdraw as they get into other places. So they fill their class fairly late in the cycle.
