Accepted on 1/7-1/8 as well! (I'm out of the country so I found out just recently).

Does anyone accepted know how to pay the deposit? Do we have to wait for the official acceptances to go out? If so so you know when they go out? I have limited access to the internet so I would like to get that out of the way ASAP.
 
Got an email from Dr. Balady this morning!! OMG.

Good luck to everybody who is still waiting. If it's helpful at all, I was told that the official letter will come "in the next few days," which I would generally assume to be Friday.

sorry... all i got is "you will receive an official letter" in a few days. However, judging from the email we received after our interviews, Dr. Witzburg said the update will be sent via email ("In mid-January we plant o send a status update email....") So I'd expect that's what my interviewer meant.

Still keeping the fingers crossed over here, but pretty quickly ditching hope. Ah well. Meanwhile the 'views' on this page have skyrocketed ..
 
Alright, so I did a favor for everyone and gathered all the names of Dr's who've called acceptees so far based on SDN posts. So far, if you had the following interviewers, then looks like you'll have to wait till March. If not, you're still in the running!! 🙂

So I submitted my secondary app super late, on January 2nd. So do you guys think I have any chance of getting an interview? Or will they even review my application?

BUSM's deadline is 03 January. Whether or not you get an interview depends on how competitive you are, and there is nobody here that can ascertain that. Good luck.

When I was there, Dean Witzburg said they design their application process to not penalize late applicants. Two thirds of the class will be from the second wave (which includes people deferred from the first wave as well as second wave interviewees).

I am skeptical that application timing is a completely neutral factor, but that's what they claim to strive for at least. Good luck

Probably not a fully neutral factor because they may invite applicants that they like more for earlier interviews, but still close enough
 
cant wait to neurotically check SDN and email tomorrow, any guesses on the number of views on this page?
 
I suspect ~150 views each for everyone who has a mobile phone with the SDN app that can just swipe down to refresh in 2 seconds (counts as a view i believe); ~50 views each for those who check with a computer.

But seriously speaking, what time do you guys think the acceptance emails will go out?

well, they always seem to like to wake me up with emails (Pacific time) so I assume morning time? Hopefully I can wake up to some good news! :xf:
 
I looked at past threads and it seems like the official emails come out sometime in the morning cause I saw a lot of people post "GOT ACCEPTANCE EMAIL THIS MORNING" in the 2012-2013 BU thread haha. Good luck everyone!
 
Interview tomorrow morning, not sure if i should check my email beforehand.. 😕
 
I am about to start mayhem. Application status has changed without email! It says: Congratulations! A letter of acceptance has been mailed to you.
 
Deferred - oh well. This probably confirms for me that I won't be attending here. I'd much prefer to have my medical school finalized before then.
