For those of you who interviewed at CCLCM, any advice? I am interviewing there next week and am pretty clueless about what to expect haha. I have simply heard that the interviews are tough. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
My advice after interviewing this past week is know your application inside-out. Outside of typical motivation and behavioral questions, I had the opportunity to touch upon every activity I listed. I suggest looking at their program, think about the type of people they're recruiting, and simply showcase yourself. As for the morning, just relax, enjoy the tours and small group activity. I felt the small group activity was a definite highlight of the day 🙂For those of you who interviewed at CCLCM, any advice? On another note, the program is so unique and awesome! CCLCM goes to the top of my list of medical schools!
It was snowing on my interview day, so maybe they were more accommodating than if it's simply cold outside, but they conducted the tour through underground tunnels such that we didn't have to go outside at all.I'm interviewing here soon for UT. is there a lot of time outside for the tour on the interview day? debating whether i need to buy a warmer/nicer coat for over my suit.

I agree. I interviewed in October, when it was raining etc., and we did our tour through the underground tunnel system as well.
@srirachaking I think this is the last week for CT interviews but UT interviews until the end of February, for what that's worth.
Wow, congrats! Crazy timing. Thanks for the help. Just got an interview so I guess that's why mine was like that!

Hey, @MockaFlocka! Congratulations! But. . .do you need a pep talk? Don't interview with an Eeyore attitude! (Well, I guess Winnie-the-Pooh isn't good because of the Very Little Brain thing, and Piglet suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Tigger is WAY too bouncy and extroverted. Wol can't spell, but he passes for wise, so I guess that he would be okay. Kanga would be a great pediatrician. Rabbit would get in anywhere, thanks to nepotism--all those friends and relations. ) But go in like Christopher Robin, like you own the whole Hundred Acre Wood. Cleveland Rocks. Rock the interview!!II today.
GPA 3.7, Science GPA 3.87, MCAT 33
I feel like I don't really have a good chance of getting accepted, but I guess I'll go...
Accepted here earlier this month. One thing that isn't so obvious is the degree to which Case pushes its IQ curriculum (read through this carefully and internalize it). I honestly went in thinking it would be a huge research school. However, every single student and faculty I met at the interview day sang the praises of small PBL group work. They let you sit in on a session and talk about the advantages over a traditional curriculum, like how you get a ton of free time for self directed learning (only a few hours of required class a week and Thursdays off, for example). If you have any activities that involve communication and teamwork, it would do you well to emphasize those. Teaching experience adds a lot of brownie points, I think.Just got an II today for UT-- dates available throughout February!
Any tips/ advice for the interview are greatly appreciated! Does anyone know what percent of interviewees get acceptance offers?
@adcom101 has said on or about 2/24.
CCLCM "High hold list" message today! I'll take that as a small victory.

+1, although mine just said "Hold." Yours said "High Hold?" The continued waiting in this process is killing me.
Also, if there is a difference between Hold and High Hold I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows if people ever get off just the Hold list. I'd like to have a better idea where I stand so I an move forward.

Is that like taking a big puff and holding it in longer?
I think that's just because your application wasn't reviewed for the first batch of acceptances.Me....![]()
To clarify, the hold vs high hold is for CCLCM. UT just puts you on an alternate list to be reevaluated for a waitlist in April.I'm not

I was thinking this too. Has anyone who interviewed after the cutoff date for the first batch (I think it was around dec 10th?) heard anything?
I was 1/9, but have not heard anything either.Has anybody gotten a decision from University track recently? According to their tweets, they reviewed my interview day and others (1/9-1/21) at the 1/26 adcom meeting, and they're reviewing the next group of interviewees (1/23-2/4) on Monday, but I haven't heard anything yet.
Not looking so positive for BengaliBrat. Must be I'm meant to study elsewhere. When I said "Hold me" to CCLCM, I meant "Envelop me in a warm embrace and don't let me go." I think that there has been some kind of misunderstanding. Sigh.

Yup, I was also in that time frame that they've already reviewed but haven't heard anything.I was 1/9, but have not heard anything either.
"High hold" means you have a very good chance to be ranked #17-32. It will come down to the excellent quality of the pool that will be reviewed on 2/24. Even if you are on "hold" you still have a chance. As long as you're not rejected by 2/24, there is still a ray of hope. It will prob take 5-7 days after that that the next 16 will hear of their acceptance. Afterwards, a waiting list is generated. As I stated in my earlier post, 40-44 are accepted to fill a class of 32. Please stay positive and good luck to all.
Wait, so high hold can mean you are still in the initial 32 acceptances? I assumed it was more of a waitlist."High hold" means you have a very good chance to be ranked #17-32. Let me clarify some things about the CT program. 16 acceptances have already been offered/notified. Interviews are ending by the first week of February. On or about 2/24, #17-32 will be ranked from all candidates that have not been rejected to this point. Shortly after that date, the next round of 16 acceptances will be notified. If you are not in the top 32, you will be rejected or put on a waitlist (likely ranked as well, 33, 34, 35...etc). I don't think that they will tell you where you are ranked. However, about 8-12 from the waitlist will get accepted. As I stated earlier about 40-44 acceptances are offered each year to fill a class of 32. Best of luck to everyone. As long as your file is open and you have not been rejected by 2/24, you still have a shot. Stay positive and keep your hopes up.
After some searching, I assume your response won't be any different than this one! The hope continues!
2nd look for CCLCM is on 3/26 and 3/27Thanks! You've been really helpful. Out of curiosity, do you know when second look would be? Is it the same weekend as Case?
Yikes. 🙁A very, very strong group of excellent applicants interviewed after the first 16 acceptances were notified. This could be the toughest committee ranking meeting ever in history of CCLCM.
