That seems a little surprising; you have great stats. I wonder if Quinnipiac has a preference for a particular type of applicant, such as non-traditional. Any chance you are a traditional applicant? I read someone's comment a couple pages back stating their interviewer said they did not have enough "life experiences".

I'm a first-time applicant who graduated in 2013, so I'd say traditional more or less. Who knows? I don't have the world's greatest ECs though.

Just rejected too. Complete 8/1. LM < 70. Non-tradish.

Pre-interview rejection just now...

"It is with regret that I am writing to inform you that you have not been selected to interview for the 2015 Entering Class at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

This year, we were fortunate to receive more than 7,000 applications for the incoming class and the School of Medicine Admissions Committee faced the difficult task of selecting a limited number of students to interview from this highly accomplished group.

Should you be interested in reapplying to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, our application for entrance in Fall 2016 will be available on AMCAS in June 2015.

Additionally, I would like to extend to you the opportunity to contact the Office of Medical School Admissions after May 15, 2015 to set up a 15 minute phone appointment with a member of the Admissions Office to discuss your application. All timely requests for appointments will be completed by July 1, 2015. We can be reached toll free at 855-582-7766 or 203-582-7766.

I wish you the best of success in your future endeavors,

Michael Ellison, EdD
Associate Dean for Admissions"

Rejected..pretty annoyed!
complete end of july
lizzy score >70

II today.

Sorry to hear about all of the rejections. I'm starting to think that my II was a mistake (wouldn't be surprised if it were).

I wish all of you great applicants the best of luck!

So sorry to hear about these rejections!

The neurotic pre-med in me is making me feel like the rejection train is coming for me too. I was complete mid-late august and these seem to be before then.

Rejected yesterday. Complete early august. OOS, LM 69, non-trad.

When were you complete? And what were your stats?

still silence on my end as well, complete late August

Looks like the round of rejections was limited to those that were complete in early to mid august? Or were there people complete in late august and beyond that were rejected as well?

+1 to the silence. its maddening.

complete august 30th so maybe ill hear news soon.

I was complete in September and rejected yesterday.

This isn't my cycle so sorry for the mini hijack, but these sweeping rejections are freaking me out. Quinnipiac is #3 on my school list, after 2 of my state schools, but above the rest even (Florida resident). Without visiting there, I am so in love with this school. I'm so afraid I will just get swatted away when I would really love to go here. The most!!! The only leg up the other two have is the cheaper tuition. Just had to vent.

Rejected.

This process seems very arbitrary for people with a mediocre application, like me. You really have to apply very broadly. I've gotten IIs from schools that seem like they're way out of reach for me, and now I have 2 rejections from schools that appear to be in my wheel house. I'm not surprised (I had been told that this would happen). I'm just a little baffled by it. I guess there are just so many applicants. Plus, it probably strongly depends on who is reading your application and how they relate to you. For example, while illness may be a red flag for one committee member, it might show something positive to another.

I haven't been rejected (yet) but just a heads up about their opportunity to contact admissions after may 15. I took advantage of it last cycle and it was basically a waste of time. the person I spoke with gave me no solid advice. all she said was that I didn't "stand out" enough. im not even sure why I reapplied here. they're looking for special people I guess. I feel bad for the people with high mcats who got rejected. that sucks.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but could anyone that has already interviewed let me know what time I should expect to be done by on interview day? On my email it says to plan to spend approximately 6 hours, so I'd be done by 5. How accurate is that?

Thanks for any info

Withdrew from my interview on 12/1. Just wasn't feeling it like some of you guys--so I figured it would be better if that spot went to someone more enthusiastic about the school 🙂 Good luck, all!

pretty accurate. I think we got off a little earlier actually. made my 7pm flight on time.

I'm wondering what their process is for rejections. Seems like people who were complete in July or even September are getting rejected and others are just in silence.

Surprised to see so many rejections in the past few days. I'm truly sorry to hear that and hope you all have/have had better luck with your other applications. I have been complete since 9/11 and haven't heard a thing. I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that's a good thing. Of course they probably haven't gotten to my application yet and I'll probably get a rejection myself....Oh crap, now my anxiety's kickin in again!!!
