Based on thread, seems like they've invite people up to 7/17 complete date.
I think they skipped around though. There were people from 7/9-7/13 who didn't hear anything yet.

Or us 7/9-7/13 folks didn't tickle their fancy.I think they skipped around though. There were people from 7/9-7/13 who didn't hear anything yet.
Probs not worth it, I tried and they responded basically saying that they aren't responsive to ITAsanyone know where to send an ITA update?
Anyone had a Maine Track interview yet and care to share their experience? Interviewing Friday and it's my top choice program for sure!!
I interviewed in Maine a while back and loved it! The interview day is pretty fun with the MMI format, the people are all really nice, and the hospital is great. The interview takes place in the building with the simulation center, so you get to see all the super high tech mannequins that you could be using one day! You'll have two twenty minute interviews, and five or six other stations that are the scenario-based stuff (nothing awful). Just relax, be yourself, and have fun. You've made it this far. Enjoy it.

Unless it's changed this year, Boston interviews were just two 30 minute, faculty interviews.are all Tufts interview the MMI format or just the Maine track?

That may be a good sign right? I mean they could have just straight up rejected you, so I'm sure you have things they're looking for!Got an email after seeing everyone receiving IIs and began freaking out.
Turns out they want a letter from my dean explaining my IA. Sigh.

No I did not. Do you have insight you can share?Did you speak with Dean Neumeyer when he emailed waitlisted applicants?
Looked on Tufts' website and saw that for the class of 2018 they accepted 515/948 which is about 54%. Any idea if there's a benefit to interviewing here early? Apologies for being neurotic, just anxious for 10/15 as I interviewed 9/22 and am wondering if the figure for the early interviewers who hear back on Oct 15 might be higher than that?
Sorry to hear that :/ did you get any feedback as to why?As one of the 46% not accepted post-II last year, timing has nothing to do with it.
I haven't been to committee meetings or done any interviews yet so I can't necessarily speak to what the admissions committee actually does, but if you think of any application timeline, Tufts has a set amount of people they will accept, it's just not possible to accept more cause they don't want to be in a position where they have more than they can handle in the class. On the other hand though, if you get an interview, Tufts has deemed you academically qualified to attend our med school. So if every single person in the first month is a great candidate, we won't reject just cause we have to. So since there are more spots open in the beginning I'd hazard a guess your chances technically may be better than if you are at the last interview date, though they are very very experienced in this process and may have the numbers down perfectly.
Who knows, they may even re-evaluate each month and see how many spots they can interview vs accept and then offer interviews on that basis, so maybe getting an interview later in the year will grant you the same exact chance.
The bottom line is to not worry about it. The interview is really just a way to figure out if you fit into our med school personality wise since on paper you have been deemed more than able to succeed here. I interviewed in January and got an acceptance in February while another guy in my MBS class interviewed in November and was waitlisted. Numbers aside, when the adcom sits down for the meeting after your interview, they don't really think "ok how many people can we accept to make the numbers work", if you struggled with your interview (seem uninterested or unengaged, appear overly arrogant or can't explain something you put on your application) then things may not pan out, but if you're a great candidate that did well on your interview (as in, you're chill and fit in well with us) you'll get a call! =)
Sorry if it's changed in 4 years. For me I had already submitted my secondary application and this was 2 months later, so I sent it to the admissions office. Not sure if it's different now, sorry!
And yes, in the area is very different from updates, sorry I didn't clarify that. I don't think very many programs are open to in the area notifications.
