Portal-gate resolved, brace yourselves for the rejections

Pls, urgent question here. Does anyone know what the whether is like IN Boston right now? Especially speaking to whether the roads are cleared?

Do any Maine Track people have some advice for an upcoming interview, especially the MMI portion? Feeling very lucky to have received a II this late!

What kind of experiences are the admissions committee seeking for the MBA program? Any insight from those that got in? I'm not sure if I qualify.

Hi! I was accepted into the Maine Track in December. My biggest piece of advice for the MMI is to just be yourself, as cliche as it sounds. Do your best to relax, be confident, and remember that there is no one right answer to the questions and scenarios. My interviewers were all great and made me feel comfortable. After the first station or two you'll get into a groove, your nerves will settle down, and it is actually kind of fun! Best of luck with your interview!

Yeah my only MMI was at a different school but it's very true, you will feel so much more comfortable after the first one. My biggest worry was I'm not a quick reader and you only get 2 minutes to read the prompt and decide what your stance is on the issue, but actually that was plenty of time.

Who can we address update letters to? Dr. neumeyer?

hey CF, you said you're a re-applicant and nontrad, right?
AND you got in to tufts.
how did you improve your app, if you don't mind me asking?

Took a few classes and added 200 hours each of community service and clinical volunteering....

Did you all upload updates directly to the portal?

Do you think Student Interviewers have leverage in admissions? My faculty interview was solid, but my MS4 really, really like my application.

they probably either screened out or just wont have time to get to the rest of the apps.
Which really sucks, because I know that all of us put a lot of time in to the secondary (not to mention $$$).

for letters of intent, have people been sending them to the med admissions email or uploading them to the portal?

Why would you assume that they wouldn't have time to get to all apps? They've sent decisions to people complete in late November/early Dec. I can't imagine that more than a few hundred come in between Dec and Jan 15th.

Phrasing. (I just wanted to make an archer joke)

I was thinking on the fact that there are so many secondary applications that come in overall. 8-10k is just so much to get through

but if, like you said, they are telling people who finished in nov, maybe they picked them out for being special with high marks. Honestly, I don't know. It is just a way for me to feel better about not hearing back yet

I get it. I was just hoping we weren't devolving back into the whole debacle from two weeks ago.

There have been a couple people who were finished in August and got II's in recent weeks. It would appear there is neither rhyme nor reason to the process.

I know the adcom usually meets during the third week of the month- but do any recently interviewed applicants actually know when the committee is meeting? I'd like to know when I should start panicking...
