2016-2017 Tufts University Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congrats to all who have received acceptances. I believe these were for the traditional Tuft's MD program. Has anyone heard about Maine track acceptances? I interviewed on 11/4 and expect that we should hear decisions this week or next week. Good luck to everybody else!

The status page has now been updated (and acceptance emails sent) so im guessing all of the offers have now gone out for november interviewees! I could be wrong though..

Just got an e-mail saying I was deferred for the Maine track. Disappointed but still hopeful. Does anyone know if this is common?

Just by looking at their stats, they seem to extend many more offers than spots for the program. While that might sound discouraging at first, if you think about it, all of those "extra" offers are likely those made early on to folks who don't end up going... hopefully meaning that there is absolutely movement after deferrals. Furthermore, just anecdotally I know and have heard stories of a lot of people who got in off a deferral. I'd keep your chin and hopes up. It's 1,000x better than a rejection! But it'll require some patience and plenty of anxiety... this process is a drag. Hang in there.

November 4th. I haven't seen any acceptances for the Maine track this year. At my interview, they mentioned this was the highest number of applicants they have ever received. Maybe that has something to do with the deferrals.

Rejection just now. OOS LM 67-69 nonURM complete 7/7. Goodbye Boston dreams :dead:

I checked my email a couple of times today at different intervals and told myself it was a good day because I survived a couple of massacres at other schools. Thought 4:30pm was safe... until I saw this thread. Now I'm too scared to check my email 🙁.
