I haven't gotten one. I'm assuming it's because my MCAT score wasn't uploaded to TMDSAS until June 22nd. Has anyone gotten the confirmation who uploaded their score June 22nd or later?

...And then I told them some people got some and they changed the story to "it's taking a while." App completed 6/15 and still no confirmation email. Why are they giving conflicting answers?

I just hope this doesn't affect our chances or show that we sent in our apps later than we really did

Me too. As far as I understand, they send you a confirmation that they have your stuff and then you go for review. Is this right? Because that would mean we have really been slowed down.

This is my understanding as well.
 
I don't want to call them again because I may become a nuisance (I have called at least 4 times prior to ask about this very thing), but I want to ask why they are giving conflicting answers...
 
Hey O.T.I., sorry idk how to quote posts on my iPhone. But yeah, the email just confirms that they received your app and it also says that you are under review and that no more action is necessary on your part until the interview invite.

lol reminds me of galveston. i called a couple of weeks ago and the lady i talked to said confirmation emails would be sent out within the next couple of days and then when i called a week later the lady who picked up the phone said galveston wasn't planning on sending out confirmation emails this cycle. i''m scared if i call again, i'll get a third different answer.

Yeah I never got ANYTHING from Galveston.

I just got the confirmation email. I transmitted 6/14 w/ 2 letters in. My last letter was verified 6/30

I think he is referring to a post that was on another one of the threads that spoke about how once someone gets an interview invite from a school, other schools can see that, and as a result view your app sooner so not to lose the excellent applicants.

It was my first time hearing about it on another one of the Texas School's threads. I believe that is what Iwannaknow was referring to. Not sure if that is how it actually works or not.

Yeah, I was wondering though if the interview invite Iwannaknow was talking about came from houston. Because the post was slightly ambiguous....I think that's what @iforget2 was asking as well.

I believe he got an interview at USC Keck.

edit: someone correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think the TMDSAS schools will be able to see that you received an interview from USC Keck since it's not a TMDSAS school. I believe TMDSAS schools can only see your status at other TMDSAS schools. Atleast that's the impression I got from the TMDSAS Official School Portal Guide- https://www.tmdsas.com/School Portal Training Guide.pdf

I got one for A&M too, but I really want one from UT Houston.

There was some other thread saying all the TMDSAS schools can see where you get in (Texas school-wise) and compete with one another!

No, this got really confusing really fast so I apologize lol.

In one of the other texas school threads, someone said they got an interview at like Galveston or something, one that no one had gotten an interview at yet. People were surprised, since that poster was the only one. Someone (poster 2) asked him if OP already had an interview at another Texas school, and OP did. Then poster 2 said that according to a friend who is in regular contact with a texas ADCOM, all the texas schools can see all of your interviews/rejections/acceptances/etc from OTHER texas schools. So if you have at least 1 interview early, chances are better than another texas school will compete for you.

Texas schools, however, can't see where you have interviews/acceptances at schools outside of the state. The only reason I can think of for them asking about your other schools is to perhaps see what caliber of school you are applying to or whether you are serious enough about coming to Texas.

I also believe it's only other TMDSAS schools...not even other texas schools. so the tmdsas schools wouldn't be able to see your status at baylor and would only know you'd even applied if you said you did in the TMDSAS app.

Edit: 2015-2016 feed's first II was on 8/10

Call UT Health and the lady said IIs should be going out shortly....What does that even mean?!?!?!

Edit: I know what it means, I just wish she'd be more specific. She said they couldn't even tell me the first day of interviews!

Chill. I've seen you post in multiple threads calling different schools and such. This is a LONG process and you need to learn patience haha
 
Still haven't received confirmation they have my application.... although every other TMDSAS school confirmed they have my app. I called the lady here before and she said they don't give confirmation emails and I didn't feel like telling her otherwise. Should I just assume they have it or call again?

I feel like they are very disorganized. I got the same response when I called, but they sent it waaaayy later. Don't panic. They have it. She said if you don't hear anything two weeks after you were complete, call and ask. Don't know if that still applies though...
 
Submitted 06/19/2016, just got my confirmation email today.

Forgot to mention, transmitted 07/08/16. Give them a few days, seems like they're going slow and getting hit by the summer MCAT people now applying.
