No, see above, about 40% of accepts (~150 people) are yet to be givenIs an interview mid Feb essentially interviewing for a spot on the WL?

When do people traditionally get accepted here? My friend applied here and has been anxiously waiting after receiving a WL from another top choice
it seemed unclear to me...i can read honey. don't you worry.

Literally, 4 posts back someone answered this.

Wow you really were asking for a friend
According to USNWR data on WashU, they admitted 375 total for the cycle represented.
The word "most" (as in most acceptances, as in >50%) was used in the same sentence as march when i interviewed in novemberI'm guessing 375 includes the acceptances that come from Wash U's famously active waitlist, right? So yeah the number of pre-March accepts really is higher than we all/previous cohorts seem to believe.
Although...depending on how old USNWR's numbers are, things may have changed in the Dean Ratts era?
Thinking about all this is just stressing me out haha. I'll be crossing my fingers for myself and all you lovely folks!

So I know that the first 2 years are P/F, but is the class still ranked in clinical years? Do they do AΩA?
To the people interested in the number of students admitted before the "big" release in March, the admitted students so far were just sent an email with all the emails cc'ed.
To date, 225 students have been admitted. According to USNWR data on WashU, they admitted 375 total for the cycle represented. These numbers suggest that the number of students admitted on a rolling basis before March is perhaps higher than originally expected.
Wait are you asking for the list of people's names/emails?? Or just for the body of text telling us to join their facebook group? Def can't publically share the formerDamn.. Any chance we can get a screenshot of the email?

Yeah they just sent a facebook invite to everyone and used the wrong kind of Carbon Copy, so that we could all see the full list of emails!Ah, sorry of course not. I misread that as admitted students for some reason getting an email that said 225 had been accepted. Did they just send an email to 225 people about joining the accepted students? That would make more sense. >.< Sorry
what time?Got the call this afternoon! Interviewed a little over a month ago.
Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile
What day did you interview?Got the call in the last hour! Interviewed this week so I'm pretty shocked

@davidf91: Congratulations. Mind sharing your stats? it is super fast turn around time.
There is indeed a third interview with a student nowFor those that have already interviewed: was there a designated time on your itinerary for a tour? There is a section on the itinerary titled "Fourth Year Medical Student." Is this a third interview or would this be the designated time for a tour?

That fourth year medical student slot is the tour for sure. Some people do have a third interview, but not everyone. The tour is quite nice actually cause it's approx 3 intervieweees and 1 fourth year.
@citykid92: Congratulations. if you don't mind, who you interviewed with?
@justlisten234 Congratulations. Mind sharing your stats and whom you interviewed with?
I think most schools wait until the last minute to reject interviewees. It's an irreversible action and they tend to be careful rejecting interviewees just in case they might not have enough acceptees at the end. In which case, they will have to hold another interview.Does WashU wait til March to send out all its rejections? Or does it reject some people before that? The prospect of waiting to be put on a waitlist vs waiting to be rejected is less daunting.
WashU only gives out admits up until March, that's when all waitlists and rejects go out.Does WashU wait til March to send out all its rejections? Or does it reject some people before that? The prospect of waiting to be put on a waitlist vs waiting to be rejected is less daunting.
There was someone accepted a few weeks ago that had interviewed in Sept. And then just now someone heard back within a week. It's super unpredictableAlso, I interviewed in early November, so I'm wondering if the long wait means I'm going to be waitlisted (at best). ><
Oh gosh the wait is killing me. And I thought the wait for George R.R. Martin's next book was long. ..It seems like WashU has a super fast turnaround time with acceptances but not with waitlists and rejections....sigh.I think most schools wait until the last minute to reject interviewees. Efle, I'm glad that you got an acceptance here. I've read some of your previous posts, and you're nothing but positive and encouraging. The world needs more future docs like you, and I'm not even someone who usually ever spouts statements like this. I tip my headband to you. There was someone accepted a few weeks ago that had interviewed in Sept. And then just now someone heard back within a week. It's super unpredictable
I've been waiting since November too. Those that get accepted fast are those that WashU Adcom likes the most 🙁Oh gosh the wait is killing me. And I thought the wait for George R.R. Honestly I haven't been sold on the idea that preclin curriculum differences matter that much. The things I care most about are optional lecture attendance/streaming online, Pass/Fail, and that the school listens to student feedback, all of which WashU fits great.I'm curious what other applicants / any current students think about the curriculum? Tg that they just switched second year to pass/fail, but what do people think about the more traditional curriculum? Seems like lots of other schools are switching to organ-based curriculums. I thought I wouldn't like the traditional one since most other places are switching, but they changed my mind during interview day.
