Had the interview. Seems like a close knit place though the interview was a bit odd. They limit it to 20 minutes and it’s not a conversation just a series of questions.

Good thing was they said they would give a defintive answer by May 8th. That said I really don’t want to live in Vegas but whatever.

I don't know about typical but I suspect movement on the waitlist won't start until TUN releases decisions from the last interview which seems to be May 8th.

I read from previous threads that waitlist typically starts moving around May 15th and extend as late as August?
Hopefully we see some waitlist movement mid-May.

Historically they have one interview day in mid/late May. Are they not doing that this year? Sorry getting nervous being silent pre-II

Same here! I’m getting nervous. I received a notification that I’m on the interview waitlist. Does anyone know how likely I could get an interview from being on the interview waitlist?

Is anyone else getting emails pushing back their admissions decision? I was suppose to hear back on April 29 and now they’ve pushed it back to May 15!
 
I got an email this morning titled "TUN Wait List" stating that TUN does not accept updates and that the waitlist will be active till July 29th.

I got this as well, I think it just means that there can potentially be movement from the waitlist soon (probably a few weeks earliest) and if you have updates get them in (just speculation though)

Or just any information on some of the matches and where they are? I'm trying to choose between two schools before May 15th and it is a little frustrating to do without the match list this year.

No ophthalmology for a few years. But a lot of surgery, which is good.

It's UCSF Fresno which really isn't UCSF. The surgery prelim doesn't mean much.

Overall, match list is okay. I wonder how the class is going to match with the increase of students to 180.

I got an email last week saying I would get a decision by today. I have not gotten any email. Just checking my mail and spam every 20 minutes lol

Hmm. I did not get such an email. Hopefully my mail system isn’t silent filtering. iCloud does that sometimes.
 
Are we supposed to get a follow up email once accepted or is that only after we pay deposit?
 
Did anyone who was accepted have any community college credits? Were they sciences or general education classes? Anyone know Touro's perspective of cc credits?

I did. I took them in high school. I had general education classes but they didn’t say or ask anything about them

I had CC credits for my chem, bio, and physics. But I also took several upper division bio courses at a 4yr. For assurance, I’d email admissions and ask them directly.

From what I have read, most waitlists are moving slower than normal this year thanks to the new AAMC traffic rules.
 
For those on the waitlist -- don't give up hope! I was also on the waitlist and got off and I knew someone last year who was taken off the waitlist literally up until orientation.

Just got in from the waitlist, but will be declining. I already been accepted from the WL at my top choice MD school. Best of luck everyone and stay hopeful!

I recently emailed Kate regarding the waitlist and the response I got was:

TUNCOM is already issuing admission offers to students on the wait list at this time. However, they are unable to share any information regarding wait list rank. There is no stand by offers yet and the date of when these will be given will fall closer to orientation date. Orientation will begin Wednesday, July 24th.

I know there's a few who got in from the WL last week, hopefully, there's more movement soon.

I would also like to add that WL is active till July 29th.

Yeah, they won’t budge on that stance I don’t think...

But hey @pokemon9264 , thanks for posting. You found out that orientation is on Wed Jul 24. I thought it is was Mon Jul 29. I need to adjust my imaginary plans.

That's what I initially thought too. But yes, orientation is Wednesday, July 24th!

Orientation was actually originally scheduled to start on the 22nd, but has since been moved to the 24th. Orientation workshops will extend through 7/30, with workshops overlapping the start of classes on the 29th.
