After interview, how long does it take to hear back ?

All we were told was that decisions can come anytime from now till next August. They said that no news means we’re still under consideration. It’s just a waiting game now unfortunately

Okay so the interview starts at 8... What time will it be over? Also, my interview is tomorrow 10/29. Is anyone else staying at the Day's Inn a mile away from the school lol? If so, I'll see ya at 7:30 AM on the shuttle. If you want to meet up to chat beforehand (this evening), message me!
Ends around 1

Is there an info session before the MMI starts?
starts with a quick info, then you get placed into 1 of 3 groups. that will determine the order you do your activities (questions with med students / interview / tour) then everyone eats

Has anybody who interviewed on 9/27 heard any feedback as of yet?

Any recommendations on hotels to stay at that are in between airport and RFU?

Is Uber the best way to get from O'hare airport to campus?
Uber is expensive. The city cabs charge double price as soon as you leave the city limits. The best option is either to rent a car or call a taxi company. I use Elite taxi ($55 to campus and $50 back to the airport).

My Lyft was only $35 from O’Hare to campus, for reference.

Prices heavily vary with Uber and Lyft due to weather conditions and traffic. The area around the school also only became Uber/Lyft-friendly in the last year and there are times when only Uber black is available. If you can get to and from campus for less then use those options.

II recently. IS, ORM, LM 72. Complete 8/25ish. Surprised to hear back this soon considering how late I applied. Any interview advice?

Received secondary invite 7/11/19, submitted secondaries 7/12/19, received interview invite 8/27/19, interviewed 9/27/19, then received email titled "Status Update" today. The email had no information other than there was an update to my application status. Once logged in, it showed that I was accepted (11/5/19). There was no other communication between my interview day and today.

For all those out of state who are visiting for an interview, I flew into ORD and rented a car for 2 days for $60 (was through Routes car rental who has a shuttle to and from the airport). I then stayed at an Airbnb near RFU for $35/night. I considered taking the train but that would've added 1-2 hours onto my travel time and I thought having the flexibility to check out the surrounding area on my own with a rental car would be worthwhile versus taking an Uber/Lyft everywhere.

It's an MMI format which was a first for me, but I think I prefer it over a traditional interview. I like that if you feel like you made a mistake, then you have several other opportunities to make a good impression. And I guess I feel more comfortable talking about ethical topics versus myself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Anyways as for advice, just look up MMI questions online and practice with a partner talking over all sides of an issue and backing up your stance. You won't find the exact same questions but it will be valuable practice.

Would you recommend doing research on specific ethical policies in IL or specific American healthcare laws etc?

Illinois laws, definitely not. As for national laws, I think by far the most important one to know would be policies related to HIPAA. That's really it though, the rest of the prompts were primarily ones not related to laws/policies.

I have an interview on 11/12! Anyone in the area with the same interview date who wanted to meet the day before lmk. Also what is the morning of the interview like? Do they go straight to introduction or is there a good time to talk with others, etc?

Is anyone who interviewed first week of September still in silence? Not sure if I should follow up with them.
