Wow that’s amazing! They told us it wouldn’t be until at least November. Guess it’s time to start neurotically checking the portal every day 🤣
Did they mention what the post II acceptance rate would be?

They didn’t mention it but they’re interviewing 24 people per week until like January/February so for a class of 48 + California + tuition free/need based living grants I’d imagine it’ll be very low

Weird. I thought they were interviewing through march...

If anyone is interviewing on 11/21 & wants to plan travel together to save some $$$ lemme know via pm. Still don't know why airport to fly to. Also, I am thinking of staying Thursday night.

Hey everyone,

I am interviewing at Kaiser tomorrow 10/24.

I live in El Segundo, right next to LAX airport. So if anyone has an evening flight to catch I would be no trouble if you came along.

An Uber from El Segundo would be much cheaper than from Pasadena.

Cheers

Any moderators who would be open to giving feedback on these secondary questions?

What do you mean by only one date available in January? Are you saying there's only one more spot available in the upcoming matriculating class or what?

Only one interview date is available for scheduling. There are still multiple spots available, but the later in the cycle you go, the fewer seats that are left. With their interview season scheduled through February 15th, we are running out of available dates for interviews.

I see what you're saying. What matters most though is getting that interview spot, who cares when it is. The important thing is getting your foot in the door. Let me ask you for your opinion. Would you personally even bother applying here/filling out the 2ndary application with a sub 500 score?

I can't tell you what Kaiser is looking for, but they have one of the cheapest secondary fees, and since you already paid for the primary, I would finish the secondary (remember it is due by November 1st). You never know unless you try. Personally, I would rather seize the opportunity and "fail" then to not even attempt it.

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm working on the application and plan on having it submitted by then. Everything else on my application is rock solid, it's just that damn MCAT score.

Can anyone who has already interviewed give a little preview of the day, by chance? Is there a shuttle from LAX to the hotel? Much appreciated 🙂
Didn’t fly in since I’m semi local. Day is super chill andnprobably not much different than most interviews you’ve already had. They fed us breakfast AND lunch tho which made me really happy haha

There's no shuttle to Pasadena but you can take the FlyAway bus to Union Station downtown and then take the metro gold line to Pasadena. I only had to walk a couple of blocks to the hotel they put us up in from the metro station.
