No joke everyone I know that applied to UNC got in, 12 people I know....it’s amazing, and I’m stuck feeling like I’ll be the black sheep.... happy for them all, but at the same time knowing that they all got in gives me this gut wrenching feeling in my stomach... this sucks so much

I definitely know the feeling friend, hang in there! What’s meant for us will be ours in good time!! Atleast that’s what I keep telling myself since they don’t allow updates of any sort.

I interviewed in early October and am still awaiting. I don’t know if it’s good, bad, or ugly but it’s going to drive me insane

Thanks, I’m doing my best. Even deleted Instagram and snapchat to avoid reliving the feeling I have now, but it’s just so hard not to think about anything else.... need to work on not living in the moment and refreshing my email/portal every 5 mins haha

I don’t get it either. Of the 12 people I know that got in, there is no trend of activities, MCAT, or GPA. It’s mind boggling honestly. Although, 3 of them did do the UNC MED summer program, so that seems to be a huge factor for UNC

Checked randomly at around 4:30 and there it was. Still in disbelief. I signed the acceptance form and everything and more stuff popped up so it seems legit? Lol

That scene really had me in my feels. I am really sorry, especially if that is your third time applying like in your username. This process is insanely difficult I could not imagine doing this again (even though it looks like I might have to). You still have not gotten a decision from UNC so who knows maybe your luck will change and it will be an acceptance.

Just guesses at this point, I went back through last years thread and it appears they got their first WL notifications the Sunday after March 15th (Which was on a Friday last year) so I imagine we’ll be hearing soon.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I interviewed in 1/27 and was accepted today. I know of one other person who interviewed on my day as well who was accepted too. Obviously, not what you want to hear but i figured more information is better than less.

Yeah I agree, they’ve given out some decisions on Thursday so maybe tomorrow, but I’m doubtful. You think it’s worth calling office to see if they’ve filled the class or would they not be too receptive to that?

Yeah I tried, but no one picked up... I guess there’s really no point speculating too hard, since March 15th is around the corner.... but either they haven’t finished acceptances/rejections yet and people will be notified in the next couple days, or perhaps everyone here who’s still awaiting decision may be waitlisted... either way I think we’ll know soon enough
