@jcs415 most have said they get a reminder in email a few days after their primary is complete and transmitted to schools.
You can look at the first page of this thread to see what the prompts are.
I think you have to create a McGovern login/password to submit it when you are finished writing.

McGovern sends an invitation with login and password and instructions via email!

Sorry lol I meant the second round of IIs...that was my bad for not being clear
I’m pretty sure the II are going to May and early June transmit dates. A few posters aren’t replying to stats and transmit date requests.

Is it an advantage to interview at the very beginning of interview season (August)? I know this sounds super neurotic but, I feel like they wouldn't remember individual interviews from August in November.

It may not make much difference for Houston when you interview. They hold positions for all phases.

Check out the post I made earlier in this thread regarding this topic. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter when you interview for McGovern. It's about how you interview.

Not sure if I quoted this correctly, but @JustAUser, can you (or anyone else) verify this?? I just checked the TMDSAS website again, and everything I was reading still said November 15 for pre-match offers. That being said, acceptance offers to out of state applicants can be sent beginning October 15th, but that does not apply to Texas residents

This year's TMDSAS website says pre-match offers can begin October 15.

Wow, I literally googled it before posting my comment and must have been looking at the application timeline from a previous year. Thanks for clearing this up for me!!

No worries, I've had things like that happen when I try to look up timelines and you have to be so observant of the year the stuff was posted.

Pre-matches can now be sent out starting Oct 15th

Wysdoc also posted a link!

Also, if you notice, I hyperlinked another link from another section of the TMDSAS website (The TMDSAS Match) in the words "Oct 15th" in my original response 🙂

But yeah, in the past it was Nov 15th. This year they're moving it to Oct 15th so it'll be interesting in seeing how that plays out

Has anyone heard from them since the last batch of IIs 3 weeks ago? Getting antsy....this is my dream school!!

There were some sent out on 7/31 I believe - about 1 week ago. Someone posted on here.

Yeah, it's been odd. Last year, they sent huge batches of IIs every 2 weeks. Looks like their first wave of IIs this year was 7/17, and we haven't heard from them since then. Given the short notice for the person who got an II 7/31, I figured it was for an interview slot that someone cancelled.

Hoping we all get some good news soon!

Hi! I just got an interview invite 7/31 and it says to pick a date within 2 weeks of invitation. The closest to that is 8/16 but I will be out of town. Would it be acceptable to schedule for the next available date, 8/23?
Congrats on the II! Would you mind sharing your stats and when TMDSAS transmitted your app?

I suppose it also depends on how many people actually post on here, it’s all speculative in the end ! This is my dream school too but trying not to worry too much.

My stats are, 515 MCAT, 3.93 GPA, Submitted secondary 16th July, no interview yet. Getting panic. Any suggestions...

Don’t panic! You will get interviews. I have 3.75 and 518 transmitted 6/13 not one interview yet. Most of the schools have been sending out interviews to May and early June transmit dates.

I'm trying not to panic as well. I transmitted at the end of May and my secondary in early June. I have 512 3.84, so idk how they're doing this.

UT Houston distributes their admissions throughout the interview period and so it is not a big deal if you dont get interviewed early on.

Is UT Houston receptive to in the area emails? I am coming from out of state and will be in Houston for another interview at the end of August.

@jsjocean I don't recommend sending "In the area" requests unless one has already been invited for an interview and would like to combine one cross-country trip with another. It looks presumptuous.
On the practical side, since many interviews are on Friday/Saturday, you might have to stay in Texas a week to make your travel savings pay off, as you can't interview 2 places on one day! Hotel bills will add up...

Received II today, took September 6th date.
