I did not send in any LOI/update letter, so it was strictly based off of my apps, interview, etc. However, I do not think it would hurt your chances, if you decided to do so.

For those who matched: I'm so confused... The required professional photo says no white shirts. Are we not supposed to wear a suit and tie for this photo and just a nice shirt like a button down?

Suit and tie or button-down shirt (plaid, solid blue, et al.) is fine. Just not a plain-white shirt or it looks weird when they print out your school ID.

Received the A today from the Waitlist! I’m over the moon.
For those that may be curious, I did receive the request for transcript email on Match day as well.

Congratulations! Did you match elsewhere and that is why you received the request? Sorry if thats a dumb question haha I didn't match so I am kind of out the loop still hoping for the best

Nope! Didn’t match. 2 Texas interviews but no match.

Darn im a little confused then, I had 4 texas interviews but no match and I did not get a transcript request? Any thoughts or anythin? I checked my spam and nothing

TMDSAS only requests a transcript when you have a med school acceptance. Probably a mistake in the other poster's situation because they didn't have an acceptance yet on match day.

Same situation here! I had 4 TX interviews, no match, no transcript request, but I think the transcript request thing was just a glitch

I was accepted off the waitlist last Thursday as well! IS. I also did not receive an email for transcripts on match day (did not match). Totally shocked and sooo excited to start!

Do update letters have any effect on our waitlist position at this point? (not just an interest letter, but actual updates)

How much more waitlist movement could we expect? Seems like they have already given out a lot of waitlist offers.

Keeping hope every day for something that may not happen is getting tough and it's a battle, and I want those who are in the same boat as me who feel the same way to know you are not alone!

next week is when waitlist movement is expected to really begin, its not over until its over. hopefully May will bring us good news :')

I feel this, sitting on the waitlist with no As has been so brutal. Hoping for the best!! fingers crossed

Ohh sorry for being unclear. I meant has anyone gotten off the waitlist since April. I know somebody posted on April 12 that they got off.

@august232 Do you have a TMDSAS Match school? If yes, the last day you could be invited in from a WL is May 15th.

No match? The last day you could be invited in from a WL is technically the first day of class orientation, but I usually see WL action finished up by the first week of June.
 
Received acceptance call this morning (IS).

Seeing people getting off the waitlist= good because that means the waitlist is getting smaller
Seeing people getting off the waitlist= bad because it isn't me getting off the waitlist

Two ways to see it. Fingers crossed. Last year, there was additional movement the week after the 5/15 deadline. Good luck everyone !
