I would like to correct some things here. Dr. khoury never had her license revoked. She was truly on suspension from both clinical and the medical school. After 6 weeks she was taken off suspension on the clinical side of KP meaning she can resume her physician duties. the issue I and the students have is that from the beginning we were given the go around on how to help Dr. Khoury and get her back. We tried to solve this internally by writing emails to the Dean and those involved in the investigation with vague responses or none at all. Dr. Khoury was also not reachable for confirmation of her story. Reading her tweets were enlightening but still don’t allow for complete putting together of the puzzle pieces because students who had her were told she was taken out of the classroom because she “deviated from the session slides.” Us students are hoping to get actual answers from the leadership team, and not them hiding behind “legal reasons, labor laws, and HR.” If nothing satisfactory happens we have other plans in place to get our voice out there that will hopefully result in Dr. Khoury being reinstated.
Now, the other commenters are correct in that the students on the interview panel today are very upset, but at the same time still hopeful for KP’s EID mission because that mission becomes a reality through the students and faculty. I know that I, personally, and other students will continue to fight for KP to be the school they told us it will be
