Post-II rejection today. Interviewed back in November, best of luck to everyone else!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think schools reject people off the waitlist until a full class commits. Waitlist usually means they want to accept you but there is no space. So sorry to everyone getting those post II R 🙁 I wish you all the best of luck!!
Does anyone know if they are sending rejections to people on the WL, AC or both?
Some schools do release people from the WL early. Dont think UMass is one of them thoughCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I don't think schools reject people off the waitlist until a full class commits. Waitlist usually means they want to accept you but there is no space.
Yes also received the email. The form is on the Accepted Student Webpage that is linked in the emailDid any other accepted student receive the email today regarding 'Next Steps' that told you to look at the blood borne pathogen policy within PeopleSoft or the Student Health Clearance Form? Where in the portal are we supposed to do this? My portal just has my secondary application information in it and the option to decline after acceptance
It was the start of May last year. Any day now brotha!Anyone know when UMass typically starts their waitlist movement?
Getting pretty nervous as well...hopefully we haven't missed the wave and that its just a bit delayed for whatever reason this year...gettin pretty nervous about this lack of activity 😕. anyone know if any movement has started (for non-PURCH applicants)? Seems like a good wave of acceptances had already gone out by this time last year.
It seems unlikely to me that offers went out and nobody who uses this thread got one but also seems equally unlikely that nothing has gone out at all. Got me stressin!Getting pretty nervous as well...hopefully we haven't missed the wave and that its just a bit delayed for whatever reason this year...
Also feel stressed about it, but feel like it’s definitely possible that some schools haven’t began waitlist movement yet. COVID has pushed back a lot this year and I wouldn’t be shocked if it has also affected waitlist movement. It seems unlikely to me that offers went out and nobody who uses this thread got one but also seems equally unlikely that nothing has gone out at all. Got me stressin!
can i ask where you saw this? ive heard it before and it seems consistent-ish with last years 70/100 ratio but im so stressed that nothing seems to have startedIdk, they publicly say they waitlist 150, accept 100. Ton of movement. Would be really strange to see what seems to be almost none
No prob, they post it on MSAR. So data right from schools. Would be so strange if this year is radically different. Stressing as well though 😞can i ask where you saw this? ive heard it before and it seems consistent-ish with last years 70/100 ratio but im so stressed that nothing seems to have started
I'm having the same feelings, but also trying to stay positive as well. I just refuse to believe that those MSAR numbers would be so different this yearTrying to stay positive but starting to think there just isn't going to be much if any waitlist movement this year, which is a huge bummer considering what the numbers on MSAR say
My question is why don't we hear it from them directly? Is there some sort of restriction on communication or does it come down to having the balls to say what the hell is going on UMASS?I'm having the same feelings, but also trying to stay positive as well. I just refuse to believe that those MSAR numbers would be so different this year
I’ve seen people on other threads reach out to admissions offices to get more information on timeline and expected movements.... but alas you would need the balls 😅My question is why don't we hear it from them directly? Is there some sort of restriction on communication or does it come down to having the balls to say what the hell is going on UMASS?
True. Has anyone done this??I’ve seen people on other threads reach out to admissions offices to get more information on timeline and expected movements.... but alas you would need the balls 😅
damn, you’re the people’s champion!
where did you hear these rumors from?FWIW, I've heard rumors that they are over-enrolled and waitlist movement might not happen at all.
Can't really divulge the source but I will say they are credible. I've got as much skin in the game as you. I'm also waitlisted hoping for movementwhere did you hear these rumors from?
this kind of sounds like the nail in the coffin the. 🙁Can't really divulge the source but I will say they are credible. I've got as much skin in the game as you. I'm also waitlisted hoping for movement
Yeah bro, either way, it's better to move on. Even if we end up last minute accepted, it'll be better to have focused on what's in our control.holding out hope on another friday but submitting my amcas app for next year, feels like just about giving up 🙁 seems like there really isnt going to be any movement
Hey man, I appreciate the encouragement, and congrats on finishing M1. I'm not sure if you looked through the previous posts but we on the waitlist are just looking for any info we can get on the waitlist this year. Looks very different from previous years. Is there anything you can divulge? As a current M1 who just took their last exam, I would like to congratulate those who have been accepted! We can't wait to meet you and let me know if you guys have any questions. To those who are waiting or reapplying, I admire your resilience. You all have applied to medical school under the most unexpected and unprecedented circumstances and you all deserve a big shout out for that. Don't give up!
I have a couple friends with acceptances who said that have not heard of any deferral offers from umass and have not recieved any themselves, but that doesnt necessarily mean anything is going to happen on the waitlist 🙁I know someone mentioned that they might have overenrolled has anyone heard if they have offered incentives to defer to students that have been accepted? Otherwise I will keep hoping for super late waitlist movement but I am losing hope ://
