Anyone hear anything? Last year a few people posted they got the call the week after the 15th, and they all interviewed early/mid September, so someone should hear something pretty soon! From past years it also looks like most people will hear within ~2 months of the their interview OR on March 15th.

I also met someone else who interviewed on 9/25 that has the acceptance materials tab on their student page and hasn't heard anything. It still seems weird that some of us do and some of us don't. I guess we'll all find out soon enough!

I also interviewed on 9/25 and have the accepted tab and have not heard anything. I wonder if our entire interview day accidentally has it? Either way, I hope we start to hear soon.

Has anyone received a II recently? Just wondering if they’re still sending them out.

They're definitely still being sent out. Their cycle usually extends into Jan/Feb for interviews. I'm still waiting for a complete email after submitting my secondary three weeks ago.

That’s good to hear. I’m also waiting for the complete email as well. Hopefully we hear back from them soon.

If we've interviewed how likely are we hear back in the next few days??? Gonna be a nervous wreck for sure
Last year I interviewed in September and waited until March until the rejection lol. It honestly depends on how well you scored I think! Some people here back quickly and others wait for months.

I submitted a month and a half ago and have not gotten a complete email. Anyone know if I should reach out to them about this? The portal just says pending review...

I've been thinking the same thing. They sent out that email on Oct 2nd saying that their application database was updated, so maybe something got screwed up after that. It might be worth contacting admissions. I'll probably send an email this weekend.

So since I never received a complete email after submitting 9/5, I emailed admissions about it today. They responded by saying it's because they're experiencing delays due to COVID. I haven't gotten a complete email yet, but on the portal my status switched from "Submitted - Pending Review" to "Completed" since emailing them. If you're in the same spot, it's probably worth emailing them about it!

Has anybody else gotten the call? I know it's early in the cycle and I may not get a call for a while, but this is my first and only interview so far and also my top school. I'm trying not to lose hope 🙁

Nope, I feel like they have a weird non-rolling admissions were if you don't get the call with the group of other people that interviewed around the same month as you, you have to wait till March and there is high likelihood of waitlist. I'm in the same boat as you, this is my one and only interview so far 🙁

I sent in an email to admissions yesterday because I still didn't have a complete email. I tried to phrase the email around making sure I didn't need to fix anything after their database update. Received the complete email today. Seems like the email definitely worked if anyone else is in the same boat.

Seems like no II have gone out in a while. Is that correct? Anyone either receive and II recently or will interview soon?

Yea I think we all interviewed sep 25th and we didn't hear at the same time as those others, but who knows! Just have to wait and see! I assume they'll send out som more before March.

Received my first II about an hour ago!!! Anyone who's already interviewed here willing to message me about some questions I have about the process / day and how you prepared? Feeling very grateful today!

I sent an email last week since I did not receive a complete email and LORs were not verified in the portal. Got a response back the same day confirming that my app was complete. I then checked my portal and saw a new tab for interview scheduling and my LORS were marked as received. However, I have yet to receive an official email invitation from them or Kira talent email... anyone else get a delayed Kira invite?

II today!! IS applicant, and this is my only interview so far. But I am very excited! This is my top choice. So, hoping for the best . Any advice? - especially on the SVI. That makes me nervous.
For the SVI, definitely do the practice questions. There are lots of them, so do as many as you can until you feel comfortable (you can redo the practice SVI thing multiple times and it will give you new questions each time). Follow online interview tips like making sure your camera is at eye-level, lighting is good, internet connection is good, etc. There's a prep time before you have to answer each question. I used it to jot down some notes. It also doesn't hurt to have some anecdotes about your experiences thought out, but honestly, it is not a huge part of the assessment so don't stress too much over it.

Thank you so much! This is so helpful.
Do you have any advice for the MMI portion? Also, are you from Utah? I know you stated earlier you did EDP, but I don’t recall what else, so I’m sorry if you already said that.

No problem!
To prep for the MMI I just looked up some scenarios and practice resources online and practiced talking about them while recording myself. Also, you could practice with a family member or something because the interviewers will ask you follow-up questions. I personally liked the MMIs more than a traditional interview. To prep for the situational judgment test (taken on assessment day) I did the AAMC SJT practice test and reviewed it.
And yes, I am from Utah!

Any U of U MD/PhD applicants hear anything? Silence since I received my Complete email on Aug 18th. I'm OOS with state ties.

Hi! Here is a link to the calendar of interview dates for MD/PhD programs - it looks like Utah has about three more interview weekends... I interviewed in october and there were 8 MD/PhD applicants in my interview session.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll probably assume the silence is an R then. xD

Has anyone that sent their secondary in October and been verified hear back from the U yet? The wait is killing me.

Hi guys!
I completed my standardized video interview last night. I did the practice questions like 4 times, and my video and mic looked like they were working just fine. However, the closing video for some reason wouldn’t play because of either a “network issue, or because the video content is not supported.” Do you think this is something I should be worried about? I reached out to a friend that said the closing was just a congratulations and don’t forget to do other things before the MMI.. but just making sure! Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Paranoid PreMed 😆

I got a confirmation email after completing the assessment, so I think you're good to go if you got that. The ending video was just a casual congrats like your friend said.

Great! I received that, too. Thanks!

Anyone gotten any acceptances since that wave a few weeks ago? Judging by last years forums it looks like there was a small burst every 3-4 weeks or so.
