This scares me. I'm also IS.
Wow, your academic situation looks quite similar to mine. I have heard from several former students that Maryland is known for holistic review and consideration of unusual academic records, but obviously I didn't get any love. I'd be curious to see how things go for you and also what your list is.

I’m assuming the dress code for accepted student day tours is the same as for interviews?
When were you complete?

Earliest date possible is 2nd of February and I was surprised too but the latest date is in February too so there are likely little Interview slots left.

Maryland focuses on research? I thought Maryland fell in the Georgetown camp of being very social justice oriented.

+1 Placed on hold. Submitted mid-late July. IS and it is my first choice. My heart dropped when I saw the email I thought it was a portal update.
+9 hold. OOS moved to in-state in August. Complete early July. UMD college park provided my committee letter (UMD is my alma mater- undergrad)

Just got the hold email. IS. Complete 8/30. LM 66. My heart is racing, wondering if this is a soft R. But glad you found evidence that it's not the end for us!

Currently reapplying and got a hold this year instead of straight-up rejection like last year. My other II from a DC school is what is keeping my sanity, but I would die if UMDSOM works out this year. Praying that I get an II after I send this update letter. They gave me a heart attack as I was like okay so we moving on up.

MD-PhD tho, and no MD-PhD IIs are listed for Maryland on those boards. I have ties to South Jersey and drive through Baltimore to go see my family. =/
Just got an interview invite an hour ago! Was complete September 27th, so pretty late. Super nervous as this is my state school and basically the only med school I want to get into. I was very surprised the earliest interview slot is in February though. Does this mean I'm in the last batch of those being interviewed? And does anyone who already interviewed have any advice? This is my first med school interview so not sure what to expect.
