Verified 7/5 still haven’t received…
When Tulane secondary was the first one you prewote but is now the only secondary you still haven’t gotten…smh 🤦‍♂️

I looked at Toledo's and Hackensack's from last year and was like "I'll leave those for later"... Sure enough, I still haven't gotten them and I still haven't written them.
 
Do you think it is worth submitting the secondary? I got it last night and I can get it submitted today but I applied to Tulane last year and heard nothing back, and considering how fast they fill their interview spots, I worry that despite what they say about not reviewing apps yet they would just not get to mine in time for me to even be considered for an interview.

I got mine/sent it last night. You miss all of the shots you don't take!

Transmitted day 1 and still waiting. Does Tulane really emphasize on early since they are not sending out secondaries on time this year?

Hackensack isn't sending secondaries until August. If you check the Toledo thread nobody's gotten a secondary from them either.

I know, just pointing out how ironic some things are to the other poster.
 
I added Tulane to my school list yesterday and received my secondary this morning. Primary was verified 6/17.
 
Have any ED applicants gotten interviews yesterday and today yet?
 
What is up with Tulane this year? People who got verified after day 1 are receiving secondaries before those that were verified day 1??

Seems like they’re un****ing some issue with people who were transmitted early. I’m picturing someone manually clicking 5 buttons for each of their 10,000 applicants lol. I just got mine this morning, they seem to be working through them slowly

If someone wants to take one for the team and email admissions about what’s going on with their timeline for ED stuff it would be greatly appreciated 🙂

When I scheduled my interview a few days ago, the available interview dates were August 17th and 18th (I’m ED). Not sure about the rest of the timeline but hopefully this helps a little!
 
Verified before app release, just received my secondary 07/30. OOS.
 
Is anyone else's FAQ page in the secondary portal just blank? For those who do have something listed, is there anything important I should know from that page before submitting?
 
Got verified on the first day. Just received secondary and submitted (20 minutes later). Not sure why this has been such an issue this year. OOS
 
What are yall's opinions on the volunteering abroad question? I'm debating on putting yes or no. I did do a medical mission trip abroad freshman year (from a more reputable org than most at least) but I haven't mentioned it in any part of my app because of the obvious reasons. Best to leave it off completely or expand in the written part about how I've learned they're problematic, etc?

If you’re going to talk about it, I don’t think you should talk about it being problematic? Probs focus on the positives. But I do agree though, maybe leave it out if you don’t want to deal with any differing opinions on it.
I wondered why they asked this question as well

Most of them focus more on providing experiences for the attendees than they do on serving the target populations. Many even cause harm to the communities they claim to help.

would you like to be the brave warrior? I've annoyed them one too many times and the last update was that they're gonna notify all ED applicants by July 30 so I'm concerned

Yes. This is not super late for them, especially considering they screwed up on their end. It's always sort of a gamble. For example, 1st year I applied end of August and got an interview like 7 days later, second year, I applied end of June and never heard back.

They’ve had technical problems getting them out. My primary transmitted on day 1 and I just got the secondary 2 days ago. Give it a couple more (business) days!

Thanks for the response! Yeah I've been following this thread, but it just seemed to me most people on here who were waiting got it in the last couple days. Would be happy to wait if there are others who haven't received it as well 🙂

If it makes ya feel better, I also sent my app day 1 and I’m still waiting. My friend submitted their app two weeks after me and got their secondary already. I say not to stress and let’s trust the process 😎
