I had heard rumors about the gunner vibe at WashU, but this is not the vibe I got at all during the interview experience. In fact, quite the opposite. I have also talked to many current students since then, and everyone says the environment is extremely supportive!
Yes, my interviewer talked about the supportive learning environment and other students I've talked to one-on-one as well. I've also talked to multiple friends of friends that have attended med school at WashU. I was on the fence about WashU before the interview, and my whole view has changed since the interview

I thought they needed to fill all seats by March 15th per traffic rules. Meaning that all initial As would go out by then. Is that correct?
They do need to fill all seats by March 15th, but I am sure they offer way more initial As than that?? Someone please disagree. But yeah I'm p sure the late March decisions are WLs/Rs regardless. Just based on past threads.

Why is everyone having dreams about WashU/med school decisions in general? I had a dream last night that I got a call from WashU and I got excited because I knew it was an acceptance. But then they said the wrong name and when I told them it wasn't me they got real awkward and it was clear there was a mistake. Someone should do research on this phenomenon.

Okay first of all that is a terrible dream. But this must be a sign!!! A good sign

This has been 100% my experience too. My undergrad (UNC-CH) is extremely wholesome and supportive in my experience, and so I am absolutely shooting for a med school with a similar culture. Plus, I feel like if everyone comes in expecting their classmates to be supportive and friendly, they will be to each other, ya know? Campus culture is usually just a product of everyone acting out their expectations and perceived norms

Is there a set date when they send out waitlists/rejections? I didn’t have a great interview so I’m not expecting anything rn lmao

Congrats!

Are we sure this is supposed to be a big wave? Or just more of the piecemeal way they've been giving out A's before
May just be a few more trickling out… just definitely two waves in March with more reported A’s from people who interviewed early in the cycle. Pretty much everything else was WL April last year. Only speculating they would be bigger waves because interview season is mostly done and they said most acceptances are sent out in March.

I'm hoping for a big wave soon!

A!!!!
Got the call about 10 minutes ago. The guy said “Is this (my name)?” and I said “uhhhhh” for a solid 5 seconds while deciding whether to say yes or no because I thought it was a spam caller lol
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! 🎉

It does kinda feel like whatever wave was happening stopped suddenly 👀
