Same here! I am hoping they send some more today but now it’s just a waiting game.. We won’t know when the next batch is especially now that it’s holiday season.

I think there's no reason to start worrying. There's still plenty of time before match day, and then even more time after match day that an offer can still be extended. They mentioned they'd be sending prematches up until Christmas, so this is going to be a slow process, and not everybody who will be accepted is going to prematch, and not everybody who prematches will accept. It's stressful, but if you lose hope already you're only setting yourself up for failure

You're right. Honestly, since I'm a reapplicant my confidence is at an all time low lol but I just need to chill.

You will be fine.

In theory you are one of their top applicants based on stats but based on their mission, they have to trust that someone who is studying or working in UTT is more apt to choose to live around the area when they become a doctor.

I appreciate the kind words! I do think they would prioritize students that currently go to school/work in ETX more (as on their end that means they're more likely to stay in the future). Idk, like you and others have said I should just chill. It's just been a hard couple of weeks for me, especially with people (who mean well) who ask me if I have been accepted yet.

It is kind of painful to have to answer questions, especially with several rounds of holidays coming up. Just say you will be first to know when I know something so they dont keep asking.

I highly doubt they have reached out to 5 or 10 already and we dont know about it. Not sure what @mfd98 ties are to the school but I am guessing both of you fit some profile the school has in mind so the first calls went to you.

Yeah that was interesting they did that, but most TMDSAS schools elect to just put you on “hold” until February and I imagine UTT to be the same

Different schools try different things which they may or may not repeat. Fertitta sent out rejections pre II very early in cycle before it became Fertitta (last fall) but did not repeat this year.

UTMB sent pre II Rs mid november this year which they have not done before.

As a former Tyler resident, (who will most likely not be returning since the med school doesn't seem interested in my app) you will LOVE Fresh! It's definitely on the pricy end, but they have amazing fresh juice and great specialty products. I miss that place!

Appreciate the positivity! I sent my secondary in very early, so I believe they've reviewed my app. But I will continue to hold on to a sliver of hope!
