Does anyone know if those Zoom meetings after the interview are considered requirements?

Nope, they are strictly optional. People on last year’s thread have reported acceptances without attending any of the WashU Wednesday events. There’s just way too many people to track attendance imo

II earlier today!! Complete 7/24, OOS, LM 74. Anyone have tips for this interview? Super nervous about it
It’s very low-stress, you’re not going to be grilled or anything. For my interviewers at least, it really was conversational and it felt like they let me guide the interview to wherever I wanted it. While this is obviously great in some aspects, make sure you’re prepared for that because the onus is on you to showcase what you’re passionate about and what you’ve accomplished compared to other schools that may ask those questions much more directly.

Interviewed recently and I completely agree with this statement. They're really trying to get to know you better, it didn't feel like either of my interviewers were reading off a list of questions

Anyone know how long it takes after an interview to hear back from Wash U? At their sessions they made it very unclear when a decision would be made. Any historical info about it?

My understanding was that it’s rolling and can be at any time but not really a set date for a given interview date.

>tfw 82.4 LM but no II
sorry but i think you guys skipped me haha..........
applying out of TX is so demoralizing 🙁
I can't imagine having such a high LM score and being a TX resident. The Texas schools seem to think high-stat folks will leave, and OOS schools think all TX folks won't leave. So glad you got the A&M acceptance, but definitely rooting for you to get some OOS love too because your stats are out of this world!

Is anyone else having trouble with the Kira Talent check in? I'm using google chrome, my video/audio work fine, but it's still not letting me proceed past the device registering stage. I just emailed their support team, but I didn't know if anyone here had any solutions?

I had that same problem, I opened an incognito browser, copied the link, and did it there. Worked perfectly.

II JUST NOW! Complete 7/14. I actually live 10 minutes from campus when I'm not at college, and happened to be home visiting this weekend. I'm actually crying guys omg
Do you see any available dates? Its all greyed out for me

II received earlier today! Complete 8/16, LM 70. Also couldn’t pick interview dates when I checked.

For those who couldn't see any dates, have you been able to yet?
I haven’t! They told me to give it 24 hours when I called the office yesterday but all the dates are still greyed out.

Got my II about a week ago, to the best of my knowledge all the dates through March have only ever been greyed out for me too.

Did anyone who received an II recently been able to schedule an interview? So far no interview dates

If you interview mid November, when will you hear back. Based on past threads there doesn’t seem to be set acceptance release dates. Should we hear back by January?

According to last year’s thread people started getting calls first week of Nov!

Email the admissions office! I emailed them Saturday morning and just received a reply about thirty minutes ago with several November dates they're asking me to choose from, so I'm getting mine scheduled manually. I suggest that everyone else with II does the same!

Did the same and was able to get mine scheduled pretty quickly!

Same! Just came into my inbox about 30 minutes ago, hopefully I get the day I asked for !

A bit of a silly question but was there no October newsletter? Or am I no longer on the mailing list...

the kira interview is just like an MMI right? Like I don't have to read up on anything specific to WashU?

anyone know where we can find the zoom link for the "Why WashU Wednesdays?" I can't find it in my portal or on the website

try emailing admissions, they send out an email containing a zoom registration link a couple days before the Wednesday.

out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea as to how much wusm considers st. louis spirit/preference/ties in their decisions, if at all?

Also curious to know this. I am an STL native and my family has very strong ties to other parts of the university (dad + sister are Wash U Law graduates, my mother has been faculty for the undergrad since 2002) but none to the medical school. I wonder if mentioning this will do good for me during the interview.

I would safely assume it factors in at the margin. They want to max their yield of acceptances. I would be sure to mention if you’ve had a positive experience visiting or have family there. ( if you haven’t then visit the city museum sometime it’s a blast) Both them and case I believe want some idea as to probability you’re actually willing to move there.

last year had A calls on the first Friday of November so maybe? not gonna have my fingers crossed after what happened to me with Rochester...
