Hey guys,
I have been obsessively following this thread for the past couple of days reading and rereading every post...
Got accepted here todday, interviewed on 3rd Nov ( i am a Canadian applicant). Hopefuly this helps put things into perspective for others 🙂

Just got the email. Interviewed 11-2. Stats 3.7/37 O

Actually complete early July. Quite a surprise, I thought it was a silent rejection.

Wait, so my interview is at St. Mary's hospital. How do I get to the hospital from SLU after the tour? They give me 30 minutes to get to St. Mary's. I don't have a car. Is there a carpool or something?

I wouldn't pick St. Mary's if you're OOS. You can reschedule using the website (best thing ever). Pick a date/time that isn't St. Mary's. You should be able to choose just the main campus.

I can't, no other option. But I settled the thing with St. Mary's, the admissions lady told me it's not a big deal, and that I should be fine. Thanks anyway.

So for afternoon interview, we check in at SLU at 10:45? And is our day over after the interview?

Oh odd. When I scheduled the main campus slots were almost all that were available with some St. Mary's slots here and there. But glad it worked out. Good luck on the interview. 🙂

yup! the tour doesn't start until 11:00. then there's a luncheon from 12-1pm, followed by financial aid info/interviews. when you're done with your interview, you can leave!

Cool, thanks! Is financial info part of the interview? It says luncheon is from 12-1 and then my interview is at St. Mary's at 1:30PM. 😕

the financial aid info session is just one lady talking about financial aid for about... 15 minutes? it's separate from the interview -- sorry, i realize i didn't make that clear. they let us out of lunch at 12:45pm so that people with 1pm interviews could stay for part of the info session if they wanted to. i would recommend that you leave for st. mary's right after the luncheon though, just in case there's traffic or if you get lost or something.

Where do you check the location of your interview? Would it say somewhere under the interview itinerary that my interviewer was at St. Mary's?

When you pick your dates, it says either SLU campus or St.Mary's.

Accepted!! This morning by e-mail at 10 AM. I interviewed on 11/3.

Congrats. So it takes about 3 weeks after interview to hear about decision, I guess?

Depends...I'm going on 7 weeks. Sigh...😕

Um, sorry. But then no news after interview could be rejection, or maybe waitlist? I'm just wondering.

Why don't you call them to see what's up, Running?

I immediately thought of waitlist/rejection too. I did call last week and the office told me was that according to my file, no decision had been reached. So I guess no news = good news (or at least not bad news). Maybe there is a hold up with my interviewer.

That is how long for me- interviewed 10/27, accepted 11/19. They said that they would take four weeks to let us know at the interview though.

Okay, well good luck. Hope it's good news.

Okay, thanks. 3-4 weeks then.

The admissions office told me that the timing all depends on when your interviewer turns in their evaluation, so it has nothing to do with rejections/waitlist.

Oh I see. You would think they would just write it right then and there after the interview and turn it in.

This might be a stupid questions, but what do they want us to send them to hold our acceptance? In the e-mail it says:

"We would appreciate receiving the official notice of your intent to register next fall within two weeks. A deposit of $100 is required to hold your acceptance."

Does this mean like, snail mail saying, "Yeah, I totes want to go to your school." Or should it be some big formal letter?

In the acceptance email there should be a form for you to download and print. You sign it and send along the $100 with that form through snail mail.

Ah, I see it now. I'm still gonna write "totes m'gotes" somewhere on that form.

Housefish, are we the same person? Because 1) I was totally wondering the same thing myself and 2) "totes m'gotes" is the most wonderfully obnoxious (and therefore awesome) term in existence.

I have an interview here on Monday, and unfortunately it looks like it might rain that day. Is just a suit enough to fare the cold + rain? Or is wearing a coat advisable? I am from CA so I really do not know what to expect.

I want to avoid bringing extra articles of clothing if I can help it.

Hmmm, I'm on the same day as well. It doesn't look like rain's going to be bad though, just a few showers.

BTW, is your interview in St.Mary's or main campus?

Mine is on the main campus... I think?

This is my first interview, first time traveling across the country, and first time into areas that snow in the winter... I hope everything turns out okay!

Okay, cool, good luck! Wish my interview was on the campus, but whatever. See you Monday.

Afh, Monday is coming fast and my anxiety level is going up. I also neglected to read the requirement of notifying them three business days in advance to request shuttle usage. I guess taxi for me then.

I am a bit confused on one note though...can we check-in directly at the interview office ourselves, or is it a better idea to go to LRC first to meet an admissions rep? Or maybe it doesn't matter either way?

If you interview is in the morning, I think you go directly to your interview. If it's afternoon, you report to the Office first.

1) I didn't have any problem using the SLU shuttle even without notifying them beforehand. I guess you should be prepared to use taxis, but I really think you'll be fine with the shuttle.

2) Go with your gut, but I think it's best to go to the admissions office first no matter what. Then you can receive your printed nametag and get either detailed instructions on where to go for your interview or, if you have an afternoon interview, detailed instructions on where to chill before the tour and lunch. SLU's interview day seems a little less structured than some schools' (which I like, actually), so it's good to go to the admissions office first to get yourself oriented.

3) Don't worry about the interview, if you can help it - they're really chill!

or just call the admissions office in the morning to double check

And so the wait begins. I wonder if we can hear back before the holidays.

I did this in the NYU thread and it worked, so here goes nothin:

I demand SLU gives me an interview... NOW!

you might be in luck, I got invited to interview the other day but i'll be turning them down. i got into a school here in Texas and $14000 tuition vs. $40000 tuition isn't a very hard choice to make at all.

good luck everybody!
