Wait-listed. Looks like last year's standards are out the window. Good luck peeps.

Waitlisted as well. Can't say I'm too surprised about this one, perhaps even surprised it's not a rejection! Congrats to those accepted and good luck to all those on the waitlist 🙂

Also just got the wait list offer. I'm probably going to withdraw soon though, as I have no desire to live in NYC. Good luck everyone!

Our disastrous interview days weren't as bad as we thought!

And the verdict is....waitlisted🙁 Anyone have any idea how much the waitlist moves?

Waitlisted as well. Will be withdrawing. Congrats to those who got in and good luck to those on the waitlist. Real, it has been.

Waitlist offer. :*(. Wait another few months to decide my life.

I will say, it was a very well worded waitlist letter. Didn't make me feel bad about myself 🙂

also waitlisted! really wasn't expecting much after a late feb interview so i'm pleasantly surprised haha

WL Here too. At Least I have a good option at NYU

The wait list response form wants to know what medical school we'll be attending if we want to withdraw from consideration. Is this typical? Drama

Waitlisted, will be withdrawing. Here's an interview tip, future applicants: don't bring up communism, Canada > USA, or Kim Kardashian during a med school interview. Never turns out well.

ETA: Especially when the sentence begins with: "I admire Kim Kardashian..."

Does anybody know how many people get waitlisted every year and how many come off the waitlist??

Waitlisted as well. Sigh... Should I wait or just plan on Northwestern? What do you guys think?

So on the WL form, what does it mean by "dates"... the window of time that you'll be available at that address/phone number?

Hey!! What's wrong with Kim Kardashian? 😛

Waitlisted as well, but I'm withdrawing.

Does anyone know WHEN the waitlist sees movement? Like, does it only start may 1st?

From past threads, it looks like wait list movement begins on May 16th...which is the day after the may 15th deadline for dropping all but one admission offer. And i think you have a week to decide if you'll accept. If not, it's passed on....

gosh, that's a long time from now... :/ I really want to go to NYC!

Anyone (current students?) know the program for the revisit weekend May 4-5? Curious about what fun we may have 🙂 Also, do we stay overnight in a hotel or with students?

Congratulations to everyone that got accepted! Join our FB group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/341876229189724/

And to those that were waitlisted, hang in there, waitlist movement usually starts after May 15th when other people give up spots. I'm a first-year here, and there are a good number of us (including myself) that got off the waitlist.

We're planning a really fun revisit weekend! I don't want to give away any surprises, but you can choose to stay with us first years :]

Hi Melokia, if you don't mind me asking, when were you offered a spot off the waitlist?

I got off the waitlist June 3rd-ish, but I know some of my classmates got off the list even later than that.

And I'm not sure about the hotel thing..

How feasible would it be to get an MBA? Is there a connection with the business school that would facilitate admissions for medical students?

If you already had other school ACCEPTANCE but not your 1st choice, do you know if schools have you as WL will drop you from their list and you will not have chance to get any ACCP from any of your WL schools?

No, being accepted to other schools does not affect your position on the waitlist at other schools.

After May 15th, you are only allowed to hold one acceptance, however, you can still remain on waitlists.

Schools where you are waitlisted do not drop you because you are holding on to an acceptance. There is a chance of still getting an acceptance off of a waitlist but you shouldn't count on it (as a worst case scenario. Once you have one acceptance, for all intents and purposes that school is now your "first choice" until you get another acceptance.

do you guys know how many students are waitlisted? it seems like very few were rejected and the majority were waitlisted based on this thread...
