Interview yesterday. I thought it went ok, but it was really hard to read my interviewer...he asked me medical questions about shadowing I did a year and a half ago, along with a "have you seen anything about that procedure in the news lately" question which of course I hadn't. I can only hope he was trying to put me on the spot to see how I handled the pressure...
the campus was really beautiful, though construction between the medical campus and the undergrad campus makes it difficult right now to get to the undergrad for, say, the HUGE fitness center.
I stayed with a first year host who was great. They went SLU undergrad and were in one of those programs where you basically sign onto med school your freshman year and as long as you get the grades and don't do something completely stupid, you get in. Pretty sweet, and that partially explains the high SLU undergrad rate at the med school. I learned a lot of cool stuff about the university from her (surprisingly, we never got one of those "this is why all of us here at SLU think the school is awesome" talks during the interview day. The most talk about the school itself happened on the tour)
They said we would not hear until at least October 15, so I guess I have that long to stew about my less than stellar interview. At least I have a date!
