for all those nervous about not hearing a decision after your interview, don't worry! i interviewed nov 1st, and was accepted on 12/22. even though i heard back before the holidays, it still more than 7 weeks to hear back!
Does anyone know if those who are interviewing later in the cycle (Feb/March) are more likely to be wait-listed at St. Louis than accepted just because it is later in the cycle? Or are acceptances more spread throughout the season? I only ask because I've heard that at certain schools later in the cycle, acceptances have already been given and students are interviewing more so for wait-list spots. Wondering if this is true too at SLU??
I'm pretty sure that SLU is rolling admissions. The earlier you submit your application the more likely you are to be interviewed and accepted.
Certain other schools like BU do non-rolling admissions to give everyone an equal chance.
Hello I am a Canadian applicant who interviewed on December 10th. I just received a criminal background check e-mail from Certiphi Screening, and in the e-mail it says that it is because I have either been waitlisted or been conditionally accepted. Do you know where I can check the latest status of my application? or would St. Louis be following up very shortly with their decision notice?
Thank you.
Submitting the acceptance letter with a 100$ deposit is non-binding correct? Still waiting on other schools before making a decision. Thanks for the insight.
Has anyone else noticed that their Letters of Rec list has disappeared from your status page? What does this typically mean?

Okay, never mind. It seems that most people are placed on the alternate list post interview. Oh well, assuming rejection at this point. Waiting game for the first acceptance continues...
Hang in there!
Does anyone know how many spots are left in the class? Does it seem as if they are interviewing for the waitlist at this point? I am interviewing next week and would love information on the probability of acceptance for late interviews! 🙂
Interviewed Nov 29
Waitlisted Jan 30
Didn't help that my interviewer was 20 minutes late and still ended it on time? 25 min interview!
Good luck everyone waitlisted/about to interview here!
Who did you have??
The SAME exact thing happened to me!! I got twenty minutes to interview and she pretty much threw me out.

For anyone interested:
Office of Admissions: For the class of 2016, 319 students have been accepted; 49.8 percent are women and 7 percent are minorities. There are 6,016 applicants to this class.

I hope not!so the upcoming interviews are meant to fill up their wait list?

There aren't necessarily 319 active acceptances...I believe that number also includes anyone who was accepted but declined the acceptance. And as someone else mentioned and is the usual case, SLU accepts many more students than it expects to enroll. So I highly doubt that applicants are interviewing for a waitlist spot at this point. Lastly, I don't know the total number of acceptances that will go out, but if ~500 is correct, then there are still plenty of acceptances to go around. Sure, there will be some waitlist movement that will make up part of that 500 but most should be from direct acceptances.
From U.S. News there were 569 acceptances in total, and about 470 from out of state applicants. I generally trust their numbers.
I am interviewing tomorrow, so I hope to see some of you there!
Best of luck!
Apparently they sent out a bunch of rejections (pre-interview) on Friday. I know about 5 friends who got them, but I still haven't heard anything. Hopefully this is a good thing? Who knows anymore.

I interviewed on 1/23, and I haven't heard anything yet. A student at the luncheon said she got an acceptance two weeks after her interview, so I hit the refresh button on my email every 10 seconds and I don't sleep. I might be losing my mind.
3.67 GPA, 38 MCAT, and I stumbled all over myself during my interview.
