Submitted my interview dates to Ms. Guerrier and my photo to WCMC, and I received responses regarding both today from Ms. Guerrier.

Thanks for the info, I guess it'll find its way to her some way or another then 🙂

II just received!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using SDN Mobile

I got an II today. I feel like the low man on the totem pole here with a 34 MCAT 😉

Can't wait to see New York though, I've never been!

Congrats! Would you mind also sharing your approximate GPA/when you were complete? 🙂

New York is awesome! It's the first place where I had a chance to see snow. I hope I get to return there for an interview. :xf:

Congrats to everyone with an II!

I am SO thrilled to interview here, but damn is it expensive to stay in NYC!

NYC is expensive to stay in, but depending on the airport you fly in, you can find really good deals near JFK in Queens or near EWR in New Jersey. Both are easily accessible by public transportation.

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but when I log in to the status check, it says that my application is currently under review by the admissions staff. I don't recall ever seeing that before. Is that a status change, or does everyone have that? Thanks! 🙂

Always says that I believe

So I read someone's comment asking how to put a space between paragraphs?? Anyone figure out how to?

Mine says: "Your application is complete. Since we screen each applicant individually, the process may take a few months. Weill Cornell does not have rolling admissions so we ask that you please be patient. Interviews occur from mid-September through early March, and interview invitations are extended throughout that time period. The class is selected in March. Other decisions are communicated starting in late August"

Mine says this too...I'm not 100% sure, but I think it previously had said that my application is under review...does anyone else's actually state "under review" still?

Thanks! Glad to see I am not going crazy! I logged in to check last week and it definitely said that, but when I checked yesterday it said:

"Your Application has successfully been submitted and is under review by our admissions staff"

Fingers crossed! :xf:

What status I'm getting depends on where I log in. When I login here : https://s018.med.cornell.edu:8443/OSAF/WebObjects/OSAF.woa (the secondary page) I get "under review", but if I login here: http://osaf-status.med.cornell.edu (the status page) I get the "application complete" notice.

Hmm I just logged on through the other link and got the application complete notice. Darn, I got excited that they were reading my application. I guess they will read it sooner or later 🙂

Hmmm...I wonder if an app went from "under to review" to "complete" if that means rejection since we're complete without an interview...

Nope. They don't review your application until it is "complete". This is in the "complete" email I received from them 2 days after submitting my app.

"We have the pleasure of informing you that your application for admission to the 2013 entering class at Weill Cornell is complete. However, please be advised that the evaluation process is long, and it may take months before you hear from us again."

If anything I think it would go from complete to under review. But seeing as though the two sites give two versions, I am inclined to think that the message doesn't really mean anything :/

Anyone know what % of interviewees are accepted (especially OOS)? Thanks in advance!

+1, anyone with access to US News Compass wanna let us know?

Also, does Cornell have a student hosting program for interviewees?

From US news it says for total applicants:
5722 apply -- 823 receive interviews -- 307 are accepted.

for out of state applicants:
4564 apply -- 691 receive interviews -- 245 are accepted.

II this afternoon!

Application complete sometime in late July. OOS, ~3.9, 37Q.

Pumped for the Big Apple!

Student hosting IS available.

Neither instate nor out of state makes a difference.

Good luck to all!

Got an interview invite yesterday!! 🙂

I emailed the admissions office on September 7 with an "in the area" request, hoping to make one trip to NYC for Columbia and Cornell. I'm not sure if that's the reason Cornell reviewed my application this week, but none of the interview dates they offered me fit with my previous travel plans. I'm planning to call Ms. Guerrier today to ask.

Edit: Just heard from Ms. Guerrier, and they're fitting me in the day I requested. I like Cornell already!!

Contact admissions, they will hook you up with a host.

Congrats! Would you mind sharing when you were complete?

+1 Same story but Sinai instead of Columbia and was complete 8/1. Heard back from them yesterday.

their music and medicine program sounds very interesting. is this something that students apply for after getting into the medical school? I didn't see any options for this program on the secondary. thanks!

+1 minus the interview invite, haha. I emailed them Wednesday about being in the area for Mount Sinai. Was complete 8/20 tho. Got the email saying they got my info about being in the area, so maybe soon....?

How long after you told them did they notify you?

Sigh, entering the weekend, meaning a couple more days before I can expect any word from anybody.
