2014-2015 Duke University Application Thread

My money is on late this week if not into next week. If medical school admissions process has taught me anything its that this stuff always takes longer than they estimate haha
 
Strange they wouldn't give you a date range/an exact date and time haha you'd think they'd want to so as to avoid students calling all day long this week asking about decisions.
 
I'm gonna assume it's most likely gonna be this Friday or next Monday.

Could even be on the weekend, I think it was like that last year.
 
please, just read the portal: "Decisions will be sent to the email address we have on file in your Duke Med Application Account. DECISIONS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OVER THE TELEPHONE (this policy is in place to protect your privacy)."
 
I have a strong feeling this is people (or rather somebody) trolling. Notarocketscientist made their account today so it is very likely notarocketscientist and frat337 are the same person...
 
Someone already called and was explicitly told no decisions today AND the portal explicitly says no notifications via phone calls.

To be fair they called some people last year and probably had the same portal message.

Although this does seem suspicious.
 
Definitely not joking I have been just as neurotic as the rest of you following my interview. I wouldn't do that to my fellow premeds. Phone call from Dr. Yee and he said I'll receive an email within the next few days with more information. Also he said second look will be the weekend of March 20th (which is also their match day and March Madness tip-off).

Well, I'll believe you. Congrats!!! When did you interview/ is your last name at the beginning of the alphabet?
 
But many premeds would do that to their fellow premeds, just sayin.

I feel like I'm going to puke. I can't tell if I should say thanks for letting us know and congrats (!!!!) or if I should be mad at this cruel prank haha.

Please please please don't be trolling us! It's been a long 5 months since the interview.
 
Haha I know how horrible the waiting game is but I am sure the rest of you will hear back within the next few days. I figured there would be a lot more decision post rolling in along with mine so I apologize for the added anxiety. But if anything, just be ready for more news to come out soooon! Also I interviewed recently and judging by my last name it is very near the beginning of the alphabet.

Congrats! I always love the alphabet theory. We are all waiting with bated breath!

YOU GUYS KNOW ME THIS IS REAL

He said that the admissions office told him that we should have been receiving emails/portal changes today and he should begin calls today. This was just supposed to be an informational call.... he was surprised that the previous person he called hadn't heard about the status change either.

Now I am paranoid that I wasn't supposed to get the call.

Maybe he started them early by accident?

ok I really don't understand why they would do this if they told us they wouldn't????? congrats to the acceptances though!!!!!!! so happy for yall
